We were on the 4th floor and enjoyed taking the stairs though there is an elevator. The staff is friendly and polite and speak English very well. They were helpful in looking up information about things to do. They also let us borrow umbrellas because it was raining. I recommend this hotel for those who want a central spot. We were not bothered by any train or street sounds, despite it being across the street from the station. It is conveniently located for all tourist attractions.

All around the accommodations were what I expected. Best Westerns in Europe aren't like the crappy Best Westerns in the USA. Thank goodness. This place has a decent European breakfast, i.e. cheeses, breads, yogurt, muesli, croissants. If you're an American and have been in Europe for a while, you'll start to miss hot breakfasts like eggs and bacon. The Hotel is right by the train station so it is convenient if you need to travel into Zurich.

The place has two levels so plenty of seating and they have an elevator if anyone in your group wants it. We were seated by the window and had a beautiful view of the lake. I ordered the bolognese which was yummy, and someone else ordered the local fish and they loved that as well. We got ice cream for dessert which was delish! Everyone was super friendly and I'm sure it's even better in warmer weather when you can sit outside... I'll be back!
