My colleagues and I often refer to the place as the 'Underwear Bar'. One of the best home cooked German kitchen that I've ever been to. Great varieties to choose from beginning with your basic schnitzels to goulash with dumplings. The portions are large, delicious and uber authentic. Order a schnitzel and you will hear the chef pounding the pork in the kitchen! The staffs are super friendly and always try their best to accommodate their non-german speaking guests. The place also has a full bar with many different types of alcohol. As far as I know, they are open until 2 am but the kitchen closes at 10pm. On Friday or Saturday evening, the place can be crowded with the seatings only available at the bar. The prices on the menu are also very reasonable.

For starters we had the garlic bread and a portion of the oven-baked goats' cheese with apple and mango sauce. Both dishes didn't require any cooking skills at all but took a while to arrive. Our mains were okay. The monkfish sadly was overcooked and didn't really work with pasta and tomato sauce. The service was alright. We were served by 2 different waiters, the female waiter was attentive and friendly, her male co-worker....well, not so much. For the prices they charge, which are slightly above average, we did expect better service and better execution of the dishes. We probably wouldn't pick this place again.

Accompanied by a local fruit and liquor chutney. Is this in one bite with the brûlée goat cheese made an great taste. Veal schnitzel - no surprise here. Well cooked and crispy. Taste was great. Sides were asparagus local grow. White asparagus with a sauce. Very tasty. Also some home style potatoes. Everything taste perfect and well seasoned. I enjoyed the harvest theme decor of the interior, although I thought it was a little dark. We had our own room within this medium-sized restaurant. There is one key design issue here in that the men's restroom door opens directly into on of the dining areas. I got yelled at by a patron because I apparently didn't close the door quickly enough. I really enjoyed my meal and with Jesse T. making the beer recommendations, how could I go wrong? Service was very good, especially for a group of our size. English really wasn't spoken here, but we had plenty of German speakers to see us through.

I had a liter of Doppelbock on the trolley, so I was glad to find that they had plain old Bock Beer in liter mugs. I got that and half a duck. I remembered it was a huge portion, but it was delicious. Restaurant is a little dark, and there were dried hop bines above, so I thought that was pretty neat.
