All dishes that I tasted were non-pretentious, perfectly seasoned and warmed both my body and my soul. The atmosphere is rustic and intimate and the service is good. That said, my rating is based on the taste of their food and detailed review follows.
Beef Tartare - it was an appetizer special and although I am a big fan of that particular dish, I have to say that this was the only dish that I had that night, that didn't do it for me. Instead of being hand cut (the way I like it), the meat was ground (which is a typical way beef tartare is prepared in Austria), so I will skip providing my rating for this dish.
Top Blade Steak braised in red wine, served with polenta, fennel and roasted onions. 5 stars all the way! Melt in your mouth tender, beefy, juicy and combined with creamy polenta it was a star of the evening.
Wiener Schnitzel made with pork meat. 4 stars. A solid version of Wiener Schnitzel and although it tasted very good, you can find a lot better versions of this dish in Sankt Anton.
Austrian Ravioli stuffed with Porcini Mushrooms and cheese - 4.5 stars. Cooked to a nice al-dente and covered in warm brown butter. The stuffing was savory and thick and you could taste the porcini inside.
Although a little more expensive than other restaurants in town, I recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic dinner in St. Anton.
