Now that's my first review of a restaurant in Germany and I hope that also now my reviews will be read. Actually it is a hotel with restaurant. But I did not stay here. So I can only write about the restaurant. The first impression is really nice. From the outside it looks like a big wood house. Entering the restaurant we have been greeted very friendly. It is a nice atmosphere, carried by the wood. Our waitress came quickly to take. Are of us so we ordered drinks and food. The food here is typically home made food as you would call it in the US. It's typical German food. We all had different meals and all tasted very good. Thanks again to the Chef. And the prices are unbeatable. Think of it. Meals plus drinks for 4 person was about 75 Dollars. So choose what ever you want from the menus you will not be disappointed. So all around a very pleasant diner. Go there if you in that area. What else to say. This hotel is at one of the artificial lakes created from an open mine. There is a lot to do around this area called "Lausitz" especially with sailing or any kind of boat excursions. Also from here you can discover the surroundings. Even though it is not a very specific tourist center right now , I would call it a hidden gem, because the tourists might come in later but until now it is quiet and not overrun. read more
