There were were a fair number of people, mainly outside, so we opted for under cover by the window...great view of course and there were plenty of surfers around The staff were friendly enough. The menu was at best OK...camembert, melon to start, steak for both of us and 50cl of rouge = €54...so that was reasonable, given the great location, as was the food when it arrived - which was the issue - eventually Yes it was reasonably busy, in which case they should staff up...if the indoors had been full as well, we would still be waiting, I kid you not No, so next year if we return, we need to have done some homework before we do the 5k round trip To a degree we have...in so far as we walked to Le Gurp - the opposite direction - and to a great new restaurant there - reviewed as well

Overlooking the Atlantic ocean is Cafe des dunes. It is a combination of a bar brasserie, coffee…read moreplace and restaurant with outside setting possibilities. Attractive luncheon menu and very tasty food. The salads are great! Service is a little slow as the restaurant area fills up fully during lunch hours.
