Overall good service and nice outdoor street table dining -- though the kitchen's execution was uneven. I had:
Minestrone Casalinga - minestrone soup with thick pieces of colorful vegetables in a delicious buttery broth. This was the highlight of my meal. (9.50 CHF)
Penne Mari e Monti - recommended by our server, this was penne pasta with shucked clams and squid in a light wine sauce. Overall flavor was good, though the pasta itself didn't seem as though it is made on-premise. I won't go as far as to say it was boxed pasta, but (for an Italian restaurant) it did not blow me away. Seafood tasted fresh. (27.50 CHF)
Panna Cotta - slightly disappointing dessert. Didn't look appetizing. Flavor was just "OK". (9.50 CHF)
My group sat next to another table with nice Swiss women who helped make our experience better. Baden really does have super-friendly people, and the servers and patrons of this restaurant were no exception. read more
