Our waiter was reluctant to make recommendations, but easily able to correct us when we chose something he didn't recommend! We ended up with the Fiorentina pizza - excellent!, the carbonara (good enough - the waiter didn't like our choice but I wanted guanciale!) and a pasta with huge tubes and a delicious meat sauce that the waiter suggested as a correction to whatever we ordered first. And he was right! The carbonara was ok, but everything else was better! We had panna cotta for dessert and it was lovely.

I wandered in, couldn't find a host, but a waiter helped me immediately and I got an outdoor cafe table, just like I wanted! Great people watching at the Barfusserplatz! I was struggling a bit with the Italian language menu, but my waiter helped me a lot. Asked me what I felt like eating, translated a few things, and I settled on what he described as a "very special" dish... "tagliatta con sugo di brasato". I scrambled to google the words, but didn't have to. The waiter described it, a flat pasta with rich shredded meat in a brown wine sauce.... very much a cross between Swiss and Italian! Worried that I didn't have vegetables, he suggested he make me a small side of ratatouille... which was almost better than the main! Great food, great wine selection, great service! I will come here again!
