An authentic, charming restaurant in the "Pueblo Magico" of Batopilas. It's truly an enchanted village, and you should make the effort to come here. I'm surprised but pleased to be leaving the very first Yelp review for the entire town! Anyway, I've had 4 breakfasts and five dinners here, all really good. It's on a quiet pedestrian plant-filled plaza, atmospheric and definitely family run: they live in the adjacent rooms; their toothpaste is on the sink in the bathroom! I'm vegetarian and for dinner had tostadas de vedura, piled high with veggies and cheese, and entomatadas, enchilada-like thingies served with rice. For breakfast I enjoyed the huevos con nopales (cactus) served with beans and warm corn tortillas. They say their frijoles do NOT contain manteca (lard). Their hot cakes were okay but served with fake sugar-free maple syrup (they probably don't know better), but they obligingly brought me strawberry jam. Fresh-cut French fries, always a good sign. read more
