We returned a boat to Furstenburg after a week or so on the canals and went to this nice little place. It's definitely open (May 2019) and it's a really nice place. We chose to sit outside next to the marina. The staff were very helpful and between our limited knowledge of German, and their similar knowledge of English, we managed to place orders albeit with quite a lot of laughing. We had asparagus soup, salads, and meaty, potato-ey main courses which were sensational. We finished off with chocolate cake and coffees. All in all it truly marked a great ending to a wonderful trip through the Mcklenburg/Brandenburg lakes. It's good value for money, in a nice place, with good people and great food. Horrible service, mediocre food. (Soup was ok, but salad with pfifferlinge can without any dressing, and the waiter clearly found our request for some oil and vinegar weird.) Quite some additional items on our tab, and was passive-aggressive when we said yes to his question whether we wanted to have exact change. Location is nice though, so next time we might go there for just a beer. read more
