I decided to order a Gin and Tonic to start. I was expecting a regular gin and tonic but what I got was way more. Before I know it they brought a cart full of different gins, mixers, dry herbs and fruits. All for to mix it with your gin. As expected the drink was fabulous. To start the meal we ordered Habugo ( Habugo is a type of prosciutto but the pig is fed all his life with only nuts. This gives a spectacular flavor). For the main course, we had KOBE beef. ( Kobe is a region in Japan. To be able to sell Kobe Beef you need a special permit and certification). This is very expensive meat so we order only 100g or 3.5 oz so we could try it. It was fantastic but very expensive. We probably paid 100 USD for that 3.5 oz. We also ordered a 35oz Ribeye to share with the whole table. By the end of the meal we were so full we decided not to order any divert. But, as a courtesy from the restaurant the gave us some marsh mellows and a small fire to burn them in. Just like camping I thought. Over all it was a fantastic meal. They play 80's videos all night long. Good flash back. Another thing I really liked is the smoking area. They have a terrific covered deck. There you could Enjoy a cigar with your meal. For a meal of 3 and drinks we payed $350 including tip. So I think it's pretty reasonable. Sorry for the long review :)

Wow! An experience and meal that was beyond fantastic!…read more Starting my night looking for a place didn't go so well, my Uber dropped me off a few blocks from the restaurant that I wanted and on my way I found Entre Fuegos. I was hesitant to go in with the music but decided to anyways. Am I ever glad that I did! Miguel and Bryan were amazing. They offered their suggestions for drinks as well as our meal. I decided to have the Duck Dumplings, Artichokes, and Mexican raised beef with asparagus as the side. The meat was extremely tender and perfectly cooked, the dumplings tasted great, and the bread before the meal was amazing! I look forward to returning! I wish that I had remembered to take a photo of the steak!

The wine list is pretty expensive and the wine display upon entry is pretty impressive. The outer dining room is by far nicer than the indoor room, though you are subjecting yourself to the smoking section if that's the path you choose. Like most high end restaurants in Polanco, you can expect loud, out of place music with videos on large screens that attempt to match the beat. I've had the Caesar salad here, the Tomahawk steak and the beef ribs. The ribs were by far my favorite. They fell right off the bone and didn't need an ounce of additional sauce or seasoning. The complimentary bread is a nice touch and their seasoned butter is great. The dessert selection is pretty vast, with about 10 different options. The chocolate layer cake is insanely good, but feeds an entire table so bring back up.

We were served blue corn tostadas with a few different sauces - all of which were tasty, especially the spicy creamy green one. We then ordered appetizers to share. All were tasty but hands down my favorite item was the pulpito. The octopus was so tender and went perfect with the little potatoes. I also really liked the rib eye tacos which came with the best red spicy sauce and the tiradito which is a campachi Crudo. From the cebiche tasting platter (no photo), I liked the atun the most. Of course we ordered desserts as well. I actually cannot remember the names but will comment on them with the attached photos. One I' didn't get a photo of was a chocolate dessert. It was very good but rich. If you're in the neighborhood I suggest trying this spot out.

Half of the table orders were taken but not the other half. We had to keep calling the wait staff back. We received our food at different times. Someone received burnt rice as well. The manager did come over and apologize in addition to offering us a comp dessert. I did not enjoy the tres leches, it was way too sweet but the other desserts were good.

The location of…read morethis restaurant is very convenient if you're in the Polanco neighborhood, which was why we chose it (sheer laziness), but it turned out to be a great choice overall. Cambalache is an Argentine steakhouse, which is reflected in the style of grilling their meats (over an open flame, which can be viewed at the back of the restaurant), and the service of the meat itself (a La plancha, at the table). We chose the ribeye (600-700g) to share. It was perfectly cooked to medium temperature, and sliced for us tableside. A beautiful cut of meat, and very flavorful. The side dishes were tasty, too (the soufflé potatoes are a signature, and they're fun to try/share). Speaking of tableside prep, I highly recommend saving room for the strawberries Romanoff - our server spent about 20 minutes whipping a combination of vanilla Haagen Dazs, Grand Marnier, cream, and fresh-sliced strawberries into a fluffy concoction that was divinely yummy. Our youngest diner insisted on coming back to Cambalache a second time, a week later, just to have it again. It's not on the regular postre menu, so be sure to ask your server about it.

Being from California, I was surprised to hear that they opened their newest location at the Fontainebleau in Las Vegas last month. We ordered the tuna tostada that people rave about. It was ok. We could have used some more assertive flavor from acid or spice. I couldn't eat a whole fish (their signature dish), so we went with shrimp in their adobo rub in a taco and fish al pastor. These were also just ok, but the price tags are high for their entrees. I've seen pictures of others fish al pastor with onions and cilantro and that certainly would have added something I felt was missing. The one thing we ordered and loved was their seasonal mackerel ceviche which was in an apple/citrus/olive oil sauce. It was unique and delicious. I think their ceviche and aguachile are probably their strengths, but the cost is pretty high to leave feeling underwhelmed. Honestly, we will be going back to mi compa chava for better seafood
