I ordered the chicken with mozzarella and it was okay. The chicken was pretty dry, but from what I noticed here in Prague is that they over cook their meat. It's pretty common at any restaurant you go to that the meat will be on the tough side. It's not a bad thing, but if you prefer it cooked differently I'd suggest you say something. My bf got their "mixed plate" that had pork, chicken, and beef. He agreed it was on the over cooked side, but it was still good. We liked this place cause it was close to our Airbnb. And after the first initial greeting the waiter and manger were polite.

Plus it seems that their coffee has gotten way way better. It is still a little pricey, but I find it worth it just to hear how good my horrible Czech is.

We went here after going to register for residency. The appointment was so early (8:15am) that we…read moredidn't eat breakfast yet. It is a rarity to be able to find breakfast and even more so, this early in the morning. I was happily surprised. We were served long fluffy hot omelettes that were light on the cheese and ham. I couldn't actually finish the thing, because it was too big for my stomach, but unexpectedly marveled at this thinly folded egg. We also had crunchy, ever so slightly glazed baguettes with butter and marmalade in the cutest little jars. The Gourmand also came with a croissant that had slivers of baked dough on flaky. There is a ginger tea that will kick your cold right in the tookus. It worked for me. There is an interesting drink that neither of us has tried before. It's hot fresh squeezed orange juice with ginger tea. There are big windows for people watching and quite a few people walk past. Especially funny is when someone is double parked and traffic piles up behind them. We will recommend it to visitors that don't want the humdrum of the hostel or hotel breakfast.
