But back then you had to sort by type, plastic - ONLY 1 and 2, paper, cardboard, glass - separate clear, brown, & green, and metal. You also put stuff in separate dumpsters. But now you just dump everything in the same one. No plastic bags or number 4 plastic better known as styrofoam. It was great when I moved to Southfield 20 years later that this community service is still there. You can drive up, park and take your stuff to the dumpsters. Quick and easy. Wonderful for those of us that live in apartments with no recycling. WTF, shouldn't that be required in the 21st century. My visit there even allowed me to talk to another human being, at a very save social distance. I guess that is what the 21st century world has come to.

From the 1st phone call to the final clean up day the team was professional, sympathetic, kind, and accommodating!!!!! We could not ask for a better job under the circumstances. This is the first time I've used movers to unload a truck. It won't be the last, but I definitely won't be using this company again. When I called the owner about this, he claimed I was lying, that I should have directed them better, and that this (if it even happened) was my fault. Then he offered to send more people out to help organize. I declined, as this put me and my family in an uncomfortable position. He gave us $17 for the 2 hr job that wasn't completed (and the guys even left before 2 hrs was up). This experience has taught me to never "blindly" tip someone without first being able to thoroughly inspect their work.

Each box was roughly 8' long by 3' wide, by 3' high. The boxes were made of wood and bricks and filled with dirt and weed roots. These 2 young men, Booker and Wesley, took care of the entire job in 2.5 hours. The weather was HOT (high 80s) and humid, but they worked as hard as bulls. Not only did they remove the boxes, bricks, and dirt, they cleaned up after themselves and left our driveway clean. Considering how hard and dirty the job was, their price was fair and reasonable. We couldn't be happier with the outcome! If you have a need for junk removal and more, call Bogie Lake Junk Removal and ask for Booker and Wesley. They'll work hard and fast for you. We'll absolutely call them back for all our hauling and removal jobs. They do GOOD WORK!
