The good: plenty of medical professionals to choose from, the lab is there, and there's on site physical therapy, with a great team. The bad: Wait times, even with their new 15 minutes before appt check in, can still take a while, and there's no reception in the office so you need their wifi. The ugly: Phreesia. If I didn't love seeing Honey and Ashely in the PT office, I would go elsehwere. Their medical scheduling software, portal, reminder system, all that is hands down the most useless thing in existence. Despite having two folks look at it, I get a call, an email, and a text message, one right after the other, to check in for my appointment. Two people have tried twice to get it to only do 1 of those 3, but it won't take. You can't schedule online. If you try, you'll be there for an hour, checking day by day by day for an appointment that doesn't exist, according to the system. If you call in, they'll find you the first available, and often Phreesia will tell you it's not. And that's with your preferred provider. The patient portal is slow and clunky, takes forever to load, won't let you change things, and half the time, if you reply to a message, it doesn't go through. It errors out, then you're supposed to screen shot it, make a NEW message, attach the image, and send it to the person you were simply trying to reply to. That way they can send it to IT and get it fixed. I get it happens to not everyone, but that seems like a lot of work around. And lastly, the check in process online is fairly smooth, it's more bad than ugly, except thaT Phreesia wants to gather information for more streamlined suggestions for healthcare. I.E. They want to collect your info and sell it. If you say yes, the little window goes away for a year. If you say no, it comes up every time you check in. I left a message with IT to see if they can fix it, but I'm not hopeful.

Initially, I just wanted to resume my regimen from my retired PCP, but this NP (Kate) was enthusiastic and encouraged me to advance my care and wellness. She really wanted me on Cymbalta. That should have been a red flag. I agreed and let the commercial drug geld me under its influence. It had a minor impact to my upper back pain but my deep pain, major spasms and teeth grinding worsened. More diagnostics were obtain and severe cervical spinal degeneration was found, but my neck is a secondary pain after my thoracic spine. Kate refused to order the thoracic MRI because the pain clinic might want to order it with a contrast agent. Ultimately she referred me to several other places, 3 of which were accepted - an acupuncturist, a pain management clinic and a neurologist. I complied with these. She prescribed me a mild analgesic. I adhered to the script and it helped. I thanked Kate. Then she completely changed and started wagging her finger at me about using the analgesic - AS DIRECTED. Unbelievable. Since then I've been treated like a criminal for pursuing pain treatment, which is much worse when the pain medication is then taken away. Thanks, Kate. The landscapes of Modern Medicine and Healthcare are treacherous wastelands. Anyone who can memorize enough text to earn a paper credential is knighted with letters after their name nowadays that in the end, mean squat. Don't go to Kate at NW Primary Care, even though she's very cheerful and nice.

My three‑star rating is based entirely on the front‑office staff and the service they provide. I've been spoken to in a condescending manner during check‑in, and the overall attitude often feels like they're annoyed to be helping patients. You can't make appointments online, and most of my calls to schedule one involved being on hold for 15-45 minutes. The explanation is always that they're understaffed or training new people, but at some point the clinic needs to hire more staff or implement an automated scheduling system. Patients shouldn't have to spend that much time on hold. The check‑in process is also frustrating. You're required to stand at a sign until staff call you forward, even when no one else is waiting. On one visit, I stood there for seven minutes while three staff members behind the glass talked and laughed before acknowledging me. An elderly woman came in after me, struggling to stand even with assistance, and they still made her wait about five minutes with no one else in line. If the level of care from the front desk matched the quality of the doctors, this would easily be a five‑star clinic. I've had a few positive interactions with staff, but it shouldn't be a gamble every time you walk in. I truly like my doctor, but I've seriously considered going elsewhere because of these ongoing issues.

I left messages, but no one ever returned my calls. I went to the clinic in person and attempted to make an appointment. I complained about the absolute lack of any contact by phone. The receptionist said there is only two of us, we cant deal with the phone! I was then told that they wouldnt see me because they recently changed policy and wont accept my insurance provider. So after 15yrs ill be looking for a new Doctor. Worst contact ive ever seen, appathetic staff and now not accepting coverage. Be advised!

Everyone in the office was very friendly and got me in and out in a reasonable time. The only complaint I would have is that the way they performed the hearing test made it more stressful than it needed to be. My hearing is perfectly appropriate for my age and at every other clinic I've had a DOT physical at they have used the "forced whisper" test which I've had no trouble with. Here their version the test is to whisper at a volume that is barely above the noise floor of the room--literally I couldn't even tell that they were saying anything. All I could hear was traffic going by outside. This got me a bit on edge and my blood pressure was subsequently high as a result but thankfully they've clearly seen that before and knew exactly how to calm me down to get me within allowable limits. Another thing that threw me a bit is that the "E"s on their eye chart look nothing like a normal E that you would find on a computer screen or a typewriter that's less than a century old. It looks like what would happen if the Greek symbols epsilon and sigma had a baby. But, the good news is their eye chart is backlit! One clinic I've used in the past had a paper chart in a dimly lit hallway so this was a nice change once I figured out what those weird looking letters were supposed to be.

I have never had to advocate for my health so hard and been treated so poorly.

It's so amazing coming to a doctors office where they really do have your best interest at heart. I wish they could be my primary doctors because they're so awesome. I still haven't met all of the midwives but the women I have met are so caring, kind, easy going and have a great attitude. Today I visited Katie Himel for my recent rash and I love that she was honest with me when she told me she wasn't sure what it was. The one who I read had openings was not my first choice, so I was led to believe that another doctor, whose online bio appealed to me, would be shown the form I filled out and I'd get a response. So, I never got a response. I called in June to remind her and was told "the doctor was on vacation" blah blah blah. She promised she would show the doctor my inquiry and I'd hear back either way. This didn't happen. That conversation was on June 5th and it is now over a month later. I give up on this practice. How can you be offering "concierge" medicine which is supposed to devote extra time to patients and completely ignore a potential new patient who is willing to jump in and pay the practice MONTHLY whether being seen or not? Ugh.
