After starting the project, he called us and told us he was unable to fix it, but was going to try and work around it. The next day we noticed he actually made the problem worse and the tub wasn't draining the water at all after he went to "fix" the problem. He charged us the full amount and we paid him but the issue was still there and we called him plenty of times to return and try to fix it. We gave him plenty of opportunities to fix it and he claimed he did but the issue was never resolved. After over a month of trying to get a hold of him and having him fix the mess he did, we finally gave up and hired a different plumbing company. We proceeded to call Miguel and let him know we hired a different plumber and that plumber was able to fix it and clean the mess he did. We let Miguel know we were going to need most of our money back because he did not fix the issue he was hired for and in fact made it worse along with a huge hole on the exterior of the wall. Miguel then said he would call us back to see about the money and completely ignored us and our multiple calls and texts. We called him for over a month and he ignored our calls and texts. We finally tried calling him from a different number and he finally answered because he thought it wasn't my husband or I calling him. We let him know we needed our money and he said he wouldn't give us anything back because he charged for his time and material. We let him know we would pay for his time but his useless material was available to be picked up because the second plumber we hired said that wasn't the proper equipment. We just want our money back but trust us we will never use M & M plumbing or Miguel again. They were not a good business and we will not recommend them to others.

Most rooter companies are now concentrating on hydrojet, probably because it costs 3 times as much as traditional rooting, and, when they do have traditional rooting machines, they only offer 120 feet of snake. Our building is old and I'd be really worried that hydrojetting would cause unforseen issues so we stick to the old fashioned machines. Anyway, Blue Water came out, snaked the main and left. I ran the hose down the main line as I always do after a rooting and, boom, sewage backed up about 15 minutes later. Called them back to let them know. I had a restroom sink that was clogged up and it was getting really bad. So, I reached out to a…read morefew plumbers on yelp and created the project and Ace Plumbing could come the soonest. A rep from Ace shows up in the window of time we had setup. He tries to snake the clog, to no avail. He said the clog was a little too deep and too hard, and this would probably involve having to get new pipes (which probably isn't a bad idea). Total cost would be in the thousands. I can't do that now, so I just paid the fee for them to come and try to repair ($135.00). I ended up calling another plumber who works on the buildings in my area and they were able to snake out the clog. Maybe they just went a little harder into the pipes, but yeah, problem solved now. So, maybe, protip here would be, if you're having a plumbing issue, contact your HOA to see who they recommend for these types of issues. Or, if you've bought a house or buying one, get the information of the plumbers / workers who worked on it prior, since they might have a tad more information about the intricacies.
