I chose Republic Services for waste and recycling removal when Waste Management increased our quarterly bill substantially! Republic Services has great rates, friendly customer service and responds to requests promptly! Unfortunately, after using them for a year, we moved out of state. When I called for the last pick up, they picked up the trash, recycling and then picked up our bins on the same day!!! When we were with Waste Management, it took them over a month to pick up our containers..and that was after calling them 3 times to remind them!!! Also, because of our move, Republic Services issued a refund check for the portion of unused service without me even calling them!!! If you want a great price and great service, this company is the one to go with! They are on their toes!!! Thank you Republic Services Staff! You all Rock!!! read more

Driver just came down the street at 3:50AM AGAIN FLASHING garbage truck LIGHTS hitting all the potholes in the dirt road disturbing our sleep waking us up! Have complained to company numerous times with operations/defiant driver not changing route time to NORMAL pickup schedule. This is a commercial account placed in a residential neighborhood. Republic has no consideration for their neighbors. Our quality of life is poor due to Republic. Do not recommend Republic. Terrible interaction with this company. Do not use. Do not use this company!!! They will lock you into a three year contract. Then in the fine print it basically says they can raise the price at any time. Less than a year after signing they jacked my rate up 30% higher! I got quotes from other companies that were lower than my original rate. Republic said they would match it only if I signed a new 3 year contract. So I did, then less than a year later they raise my rate 30% again! I said I want it lower they said they could lower it a little bit but only if I re-sign another 3 year contract. I'm not sure how this isn't criminal! My advise is stay away from this company! Don't ever sign anything with them. I will be talking to a lawyer to see how they can get away with a scam like this. Oh and their service isn't that great. This is an issue that started a few months ago. I would like to know who thinks it a good idea to empty ( and banging them a few extra times for added effect) dumpsters at 530 AM in a residential apartment complex with a high concentration of people? There are noise ordinances being ignored, as commercial noise is not supposed to happen until after 8 AM. I've called more than once, and the attendant on the line was very understanding and agreeable. My complaint fell on deaf ears. read more

Sometimes the [edit] returns an hour later just to make more noise; generally between 5am-8am. Everyone up and down the street behind the market are furious. Republic Services - The main culprit. - Recycling Center Near Me - Pontiac, Michigan

After 6 and a half years of use, my garbage can was in such bad shape I could no longer use it. They kept telling me someone would come exchange the can, but they never did. I would wait up to an hour on hold to reach a rep, who couldn't do anything but put the request through again. I asked for a call back from a supervisor. No one ever called. I used the website support contact page twice; no response. I cancelled my account. They came and took the can. They bill IN ADVANCE, and took three months' payment out of my account after I had cancelled, for service I will never receive. Multiple calls. Endless hold times. No one who can help me. Promises of call backs that I never get. Then I was billed again, for what I do not know. Reached out to them on Facebook, initially they replied asking for the details, then stopped all further responses. All Republic had to do was replace my can and communicate with me, and I'd still be their customer. Now I'm just absolutely furious, and it's driven by the apparent impossibility of getting any kind of response from anyone at the company who knows what's going on and is empowered to do anything about it. read more

BEWARE. This company is unethical. They took advantage of our company for years. We have been grossly overcharged by $300+ per month. Their prices are so far out of market and their agreements are absurd. We brought this to their attention and they claimed they adjusted our rates but then the next month we were charged again. After removing our payment info from their online portal they continued to charge us incorrectly. We gave them several changes to make things right and they chose to be greedy and dishonest. No stars !! Talk to Jakharia R , said NO she won't get me a supervisor. What I pay taxes, Commerce Township has no restrictions. On pick with the exception of large furniture and appliances. If I could lower the review I could. Not only have they not picked up our recycling for SIX WEEKS, they failed to show up for both of the "scheduled" missed pickups. I use the quotes on scheduled because I honestly believe this company literally does nothing to rectify problems because they do not care and/or are so ungodly inept they couldn't if they tried. I wish nothing but horrible things for them and look forward to their inevitable failure. I'll be filing a small claim against them for breach of contract next time I'm at court for work. read more
