I cannot even give them 1 star. The only reason I did was because my review would not post without one. . I have been a customer for 22 years. My garbage is supposed to be picked up once a week. It is prepaid quarterly. The have not picked up my garbage for 2 and 1/2 weeks. We have made approximately 7 calls (3 to "supervisors") and have been told repeatedly that our garbage will be picked up that day. We're still waiting. yoy can no longer contact the local office. You get people in Texas. Do NOT use Republc Services. They do NOT care about their residential customers. I cannot nor will I ever recon them. read more

Shit service. Scheduled a large item pickup for last Friday. It's Tuesday. No pickup. Keep getting the runaround from local reps.

This is one of the most incompetent, unprofessional organizations I have ever tried to work with. The only reason I gave one star is to post the review. After accepting my business, they did not deliver my trash cans on the promise date. After six phone calls starting on the delivery date the cans were delivered five days late, and too late for that week's trash pickup. The following week Republic failed to empty my cans on the appointed day. An "escalation report" was entered, but the next day, again, Republic failed to empty my cans. BTW - it's taken eight phone calls to get to this point. At this point I fired them and contracted with a competitor, who has serviced my account without issue. Now Republic can't seem to execute a simple internal order to pick up their trash cans. After missing last Thursday's pick up date, another "escalation report" was filed. Three days dater I still have Republic's trash cans, and there is no record of the escalation. A Customer Service assures me today me that her escalation will be effective. She's going to call me within the hour with another pickup date (what's the over/under on my getting a call today?). I have made more than 10 phone calls to this company since engaging them. Their reps are dispersed across the country, and have no connection to local operations other than email. Getting an issue resolved seems to depend on dumb luck as much as anything. My new neighbor warned me not to use Republic, so I will warn those reading this post - don't use this company if you have a choice. Forewarned is forearmed. read more

We don't even have this company, but the driver picked up our black cans. Needless to say the can was damaged. I called Republic and was told a manager would call me. Well, there was no call until I filed a complaint with BBB. Jake called and tried to get me as a customer. I asked for replacement of my can, which he said he couldn't do. He didn't even give me an apology. But he can now tell BBB that he contacted me to resolve it! Ridiculous. Republic cans are still sitting on our street on Monday. They were once again skipped last Friday. And he tried to get me as a customer! I don't understand why anyone uses them. They are overpriced and the drivers are poorly trained. They should be able to tell the difference between their blue cans and black cans. I now have big signs on my cans with Suburban Sanitation written on them. read more

Very disappointing and sad experience with this company. Driver of waste refuse pickup truck either accidentally dropped my waste container in his truck and drove off or someone stole it at some point during the day (I was at work and not at home that day), and therefore my container was not on the curb when I got home. I don't know if he or she was aware that this occurred. I called and reported the mishap and I was told me my replacement container would be delivered on my next pick up day. Didn't happen. Called again. They said the delivery of my replacement container was cancelled. They could not tell me why this occurred and they rescheduled for the following week. Didn't happen. Rescheduled again. Didn't happen. Sounds like a broken record? It is! Finally, a call center employee informed me that the company is experiencing a shortage of containers and that my container would be delivered by June 1. You can now guess the outcome of that commitment. No delivery. June 2- no delivery. June 3rd- no delivery. Each day I would call and speak to a different call center employee. They were very professional and courteous (and so was I to them). On June 4th, on my daily call, they told me that I was supposed to have filed a police report when this first occurred (in case it was stolen) and that is the first any time that a Republic Services employee informed me that I was supposed to do that. Each time I called (IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A MONTH), the call center operator states that they are "escalating" the priority, asking a regional manager to contact me, but no one has contacted me. The company's "5 Core Customer Service Values" listed on their website are: 1. Respectful- call center employees are. 2. Responsible- no one "owns" the problem or complaint. 3. Reliable- base on all of the above, what do you think? 4. Resourceful- no way. Too big of a company to disseminate that as a standard or discipline. 5. Relentless- NOT! Empowerment is difficult to indoctrinate to it's employees in such a large (non-local contact) company. Local and up to corporate are well protected and insulated from consumers. It is a shame there is a monopoly in municipal services in my area of the country. read more
