The per liter price was about 1.3 Euros per Liter (about $7 a Gallon), but our VW Golf made up for it with good gas mileage, good acceleration, and a fun manual stick). Also keep in mind that: A green pump handle doesn't mean Diesel. You can pump your petrol first and then walk in and pay. I didn't notice a single pay-at-the-pump swipe when I was here. Many Service Stations have a cafe, sell wine, and otherwise make stopping in a civilized experience.
