This is a very small cozy restaurant. The service was very good. We ate here twice during our time in Lagos. There is a very small parking lot in the mall where Repolho is but it fills up quickly. You can drive to the bottom of the hill and find street parking.
There is a very extensive selection of wine that is frequently changed. You tell them what characteristics you like in a wine, what type of wine you prefer and what your budget is and they will find a wine tailored to your preferences. The first visit we shared 4 tapas and 1 entrée. On the second visit we ordered 6 tapas. We enjoyed most of the tapas that we ordered. My favorites were the piri piri chicken and their home made French fries. The chicken was some of the best that we had while in Portugal. Their home made fries are slices of potatoes like potato chips that are freshly cooked. They could be additive. We ordered the hot spicy chorizo on our first visit. It brought to the table flaming. You have to wait until the flames die down to cut the sausage. Although it was very good it was too spicy for me and my stomach was bothering me later in the evening. My husband loved it though. We also tried the migas. It was interesting but it was not a dish that appealed to me. The pork shank entrée was also very good. For dessert we decided to try a special dessert that is not made in house but is made by a local resident. It is similar to a fruit cake. We found it overly sweet and not to our liking. It came to the table wrapped up in a piece of aluminum foil. On our second visit they kindly offered us a complimentary port. The servings are a good size.
We enjoyed out dinners at Repolho. It is a nice relaxing restaurant and the room is very comfortable. We were treated very well and enjoyed a couple of nice leisurely meals. We would definitely return on future visits to Lagos. read more
