Chris is the owner and he explained things as he progressed along as well as answering any questions I had, plus it was just really nice visiting with him on other topics. They wore disposable booties, covered our newly tiled floors and cleaned up before leaving. Chris double and triple checked for any plumbing leaks before leaving as well. STAY AWAY! I…read morecontacted Absotemp because my air conditioner broke -- right before a heat wave. I was told that there was a service charge of $90 and was given a 4 hour window. Matt, apparently the owner of the company, came a few minutes after the end of that window, a couple minutes after 4:00 p.m. (BTW, he smelled of pot.) When he got here, he asked what the problem was & I explained that the air conditioner wasn't working. He immediatey went to the furnace. I told him I wasn't having trouble with the furnace, it was the air conditioner. He then proceeded to tell me that they are connected, my furnace is old and inefficient, and possibly dangerous. He spent a lot of time looking at it and taking pictures. He then got a phone call and was gone for about 15 minutes. He came back and continued explaining to me about the different kinds of furnaces. I reminded him that I called him about the air conditioner. He asked what kind of thermostat I had and then he finally went to look at the air conditioner. He said that was old as well (both were probably original and from the 1970s), but he couldn't figure out when. He called someone about tracing the model, but they couldn't do it either. He then came back into the house & said he'd go into his truck and write up an estimate. An hour and a half later, I went outside to see if he was still here. All of his prices were really high. And again, it was AIR CONDITIONING repair that I contacted him about. After he asked if I had any questions, I said, "I asked you to come out because of the air conditioning. Can you do anything about it?" He huffed and went outside. He came back in after a couple minutes and said that it was the motor fan and "There's nothing I can do about, it Sweetie." :O (That was the second time he called me that!) When I asked if he had any suggestions, he said "Stay in the basement." It was not said with humor. He then asked for a check ("or an ACH") -- AND HE DIDN'T DO ANYTHING except waste nearly 4 hours of my time. I had 3 other companies come out after that. Not a single one charged for an estimate, they didn't take ridiculous amounts of time, and they didn't try to oversell me. Needless to say, I chose a different company.

I hired O'Plumbing (Justin Middlebrooks) to install a new dishwasher, and the experience was…read moredisappointing. He charged $295--almost double the going rate in our area--and left the appliance non-functional. We had to unplug the garbage disposal every time we wanted to run the dishwasher. When I asked about it, his response was "hire an electrician." That's not acceptable when hiring someone to install an appliance. If he didn't have the right skill set, he should've been honest and charged only for a service call. A qualified appliance technician later charged $150 and corrected several serious issues: * Drain hose was too low, risking backflow * Dishwasher wasn't secured and tipped forward when the rack was pulled out * Electrical wires were capped but not boxed, which could be dangerous if exposed to moisture All of these were fixed at no extra charge, and the dishwasher now works perfectly. I would not recommend O'Plumbing for appliance installations.

They're reasonably priced as well as saving us money by suggesting we buy a part ourselves they could have easily charged us for at a much higher expense. Devin pulled up the part (city required hose bib vacuum breaker) on his phone and showed me the cost difference. He and Mark did an excellent job on all the work done. We would highly recommend O'Plumbing.
