    Goodsell Oviatt Law Firm

Absolutely horrible & a complete waste of time. I contacted…read moreGoodsell Oviatt in regards to an employment case. My call was returned by an Attorney, whom is no longer with the company, but whom talked a good game ("sorry for the delay but I was in Court on a big case"), stated he was well-versed in the area of law, was well-versed in the process, and proceeded to ensure me I had a strong case. I paid my retainer, and things quickly went downhill from there. This Attorney was most always late in getting back to me; was always pushing limits on deadlines, often requesting extensions; frequently not getting important documents to me for review until mere minutes before hearings, not allowing me any time for proper review; could hardly ever remember what I told him, even simply making stuff up because he couldn't remember; could not remember the names of opposing counsel, of agency Investigators, etc. I quickly realized that he had very little idea of the process, as little to nothing went according to what he told me. Prior to preliminary discussions with opposing counsel and agency investigators, as we talked privately, he would put on a big act, describing to me how he was going to blow the case wide open with his self-professed talent for impressive dialog. Yet he just ended-up looking like a complete fool. He constantly chose to assume, based on little to no evidence, about anything & everything, and his assumptions, being based on little to no evidence, always proved wrong. I had to reach out to the firm's main Partners several times, to alert them to the absolute horrendous job their junior Attorney was doing. They never got back to me. So the terrible "representation" continued. Just prior to final agency deadlines, this Attorney was suddenly no longer with the firm. So, no one was able or willing to finish the job. Case was easily won by Defense due to mia Attorney. Months later, I started hearing from a new Attorney that just started with the firm, whom was desperately trying to pick up the pieces left behind by this former Attorney, as he sought work for himself. Too little, too late. The case had already been blown for my side. I felt there was absolutely no way of recovery. Now, a year-plus later, after another agency has made their decision, finding for the Defense, given this firm's total failures, someone at the firm is calling me asking if I want to appeal the decision. I don't think so, you've wasted enough of my time.
