The doctor who helped me came with me to the hospital and ensured my safety and well being the entire time. It took a while to get approved by insurance, and the prices aren't good, but that's just what happens when you break your foot in another country. The whole process took about 4 hours, but with the health crisis going on I'm not sure anywhere else would be faster

She did say to double check with insurance first. iShe got my number and then sent me a quote via What's APP. The quote was for a hotel visit and it was after hours but even then $1,051.22 dollars?!?!?! That is highway robbery for Mexico. I lived in Mexico for 5 years and am very aware of prices for a house visit. I had plenty for my children, I would have doctor come to my house for consultation. I was super disappointed with how I was never informed of pricing until I got a What's APP message to accept the fee. I want everyone to know to watch out for these places that take total advantage of tourist who do not know. To top it off, I had gotten a quote from a doctor tne hotel recommended the day before and the fee was $1,500 pesos for him to come to hotel for a consultation. The only issue was he wanted cash which I do not carry but after this quote, I am calling him for his honesty. My advise for when you are sick on a International trip is to use hotel recommendations. I found this place on internet and I learned my lesson. Glad I said no thank you to the message!! I am added it the quote that I received for your reference.

In the fall of 2021 I decided to move forward with stem cells. My MD knows the chief scientific…read moreofficer Dr Rafael Gonzalez so I decided to start with a consult here. My consult was with Dr Alberto Ortiz who is very kind and patient, answering all of my questions and following up with emails. After consulting with my MD, she advised me against stem cells. I decided to go with a different therapy... *Unknown to me the product we used was also developed by Dr. Gonzalez in his American lab and uses the SAME CELL LINE as what is used at Rehealth. This was told to me by Dr Gonzalez himself.* Needless to say, the treatment did not go well and led me down a rabbit hole of research I should have done prior to receiving this treatment. For anyone considering this clinic (or any of Dr. Gonzalez's products) I leave this review for you so that you don't make the same mistake I did. If you Google Dr Gonzalez you will find he spends a lot of time promoting his clinic, doing podcasts, radio shows, YouTube interviews, etc. He networks with "wellness influencers" (aka quacks) who have large followings on social media. One of these is Dr Daniel Pompa, who is frequently featured on Rehealth's IG account. He's currently serving 16 years of probation for stealing $1.4 million from a trust fund. Dr Gonzalez has also been associated with John Kosolcharoen of Liveyon who partnered with Rehealth's pediatric sister clinic World Stem Cells Clinic. He was previously involved in a Ponzi scheme and was also arraigned on federal charges for health care fraud. His business partner, Alan Gavick (a podiatrist) had his license put on probation due to medical malpractice. Their company Liveyon put about a dozen people in the hospital due to contaminated products. These are the people that Dr. Gonzalez does business with. When I spoke to Dr Gonzalez regarding my poor response to his product he came across as caring and sympathetic even asking me to send him bloodwork. I was surprised and did exactly as he asked. His only response was a list of referrals to his "pricey" (in his words) colleagues. There was no acknowledgement of the bloodwork I sent. After what I spent on his product I have no money left to spend on his quack friends. One thing you will notice is that when these treatments fail (or make you sick) it is never their fault. It's you or something you did. Your diet, your bad habits, your doctor etc. They will happily take every last dime you have and, when things go wrong, blame you. (I also want to mention that their doctors are rather young and that the treatments are not customized for your condition. They simply give you IVs/injections of stem cells and send you on your way). I would take any "patient testimonials" with a grain of salt. This clinic has "investors" and my guess is that many of the "patients" featured on their IG account are financially invested friends and colleagues of Dr. Gonzalez who are exchanging glowing reviews for free treatments. Most recently he treated a radio personality at Rehealth and was then featured on his podcast. How convenient. I really hope my review saves someone their time, money and health. I wish I would have known all of this before spending all my money and ruining my health. You can get much better treatment at a more experienced clinic for a lot less. Save yourself the trouble and heartache.

We love Mexico and happily pay tourist prices. This is the first time I have been ripped off in Mexico and it was by a company that looks legitimate at a glance. Also the Dr. looked like was 16 years old; probably the son of the real Dr. who was out spending the money they steal from me. Bad for tourism. also I contacted the corporate website and they responded that i can send them my bill and they will help me understand it. what a scam

He became very ill the day before we were supposed to fly home to Los Angeles and was taken by ambulance from our resort to Hospiten. He was admitted and due to the serious nature of his medical situation, had to stay in the hospital for two weeks. I can't say enough about how caring and competent the doctors were and how clean and pleasant the facility was... especially compared to the overcrowded conditions and rushed doctors we dealt with once my husband was admitted to a hospital at home to continue his care! It's true that care at this private hospital isn't cheap, but it was far less expensive than hospital care in the US. Fortunately, we were able to have all of the costs from my husband's treatment and stay at Hospiten reimbursed by our medical insurance, but they required extensive documentation, so be sure to understand what your insurance will require and get a copy of all of the records you'll need before you leave the hospital! A big, belated thank you to Dr. Rebeca Roman, Dr. Oscar Hernandez, Dr. Adan Paul Cuevas Quintero and the rest of the staff for their kind and patient care and for making a horrible, stressful situation a little less scary!

They did not know how to respond to a patient in cardiac arrest and, as a result, I watched my father die before my very eyes. My untrained eye could see he was arresting, but the nurses screwed around complaining that he was too big for them to move for 7 minutes before calling an emergency (because I started screaming for help). They waited another 4 before beginning one-handed compressions on a 230 pound patient. My dad never had a chance. He was admitted for hyponatremia and left two nights later in a body bag. I'm pursuing legal representation, but attorneys are disinterested in the case because of cartels' involvement in the private hospital system. Bottom line, if you want to live...try ANY other hospital. This incident was beyond tragic and 100% avoidable. For the $30K USD we paid, Hospiten could afford to buy wall-mounted AED machines for each room on the floor. Instead, they rolled a huge box machine into my dad's room 20 minutes into his heart attack. When I went up to collect his things 3 hours after they evacuated him to the ER, the remnants and mess were still all over the place. I had to collect his hearing aids from feces on the bathroom floor and the nurses who were literally responsible for his death watched me drag all of his belongings down the hall in a pillowcase as I wept. This is sub-human care. I wouldn't trust these people to take care of animals much less humans.

Over $400 USD for a consultation by a nurse for a few stitches. We were told it would be $2,500 USD minimum. We don't have that type of money. They informed us that we could leave after we've been discharged. After a very long wait and no one showed we finally convinced someone to let us pay the "consult" bill and leave. Then comes our saving grace Cruz Roja (Red Cross). It's a first come, first serve concept. You really need to know Spanish or have a translator for the billing/signing in. The doctor was very friendly and better transparent. It was rather refreshing. The pricing was upfront. The stitches were 480 MX (~$24 USD) and we were in and out under an hour. We were told of prescriptions to pick up at the pharmacy as well. Honestly, a major blessing. Fair warning - it's pesos or credit card only

The hotel that I was staying at recommended that I go to Hospiten, but I read many bad reviews of them overcharging tourists ($5000 USD) because the resort and Hospiten have an agreement to scam tourists. I went on Yelp and found Cruz Roja Mexicana, and took a taxi to the clinic. There were a lot of people, but the doctors and staff were efficient and quick, and treated my boyfriend swiftly. They gave him an IV and prescribed medication (he was in the clinic for about an hour and a half), and we were able to pick up the medicine at the pharmacy right next door. The treatment itself cost about $30 USD, and the medication was about $15 USD, much less than the hospitals nearby. Overall, I would highly recommend this clinic if you are having an emergency and need treatment ASAP. I would suggest having a Spanish speaker with you, though, as there was only one person working that spoke English in the clinic and they were quite busy.
