Upon arriving in Le Mars the first thing I did was head downtown and find the post office before it closed. My detour here was amazingly fast, even for a post office. There was one person in front of me, a few seconds wait then the clerk took my envelope. He was nice enough, asked if I needed anything else, and the job was done. This was by far one of the most pleasant experiences at a Post Office I've had. Small town living has it's benefits.

You can't get lost here because like so many towns in Iowa they are set up by the compass, N, S, E, W. So just point your nose and away you go. Like so many other towns in the mid west what you see today will not be there next year. Business comes and goes. When one closes another one takes it place. They do have a very good Hospital and clinics.

All said and done and only cost me $8.00 for two years. This was a very nice experience. The staff there was very helpful and walked me through the entire painless process. Oh, I forgot to add that I will have to do it all over when I come back to Calif. Oh well, that's the way it goes. lol
