I honestly cannot say enough great things about our dining experience - first visit was a group of 8 in the main dining, and it was so good 2 of us came back and ate at the bar a few nights later. Both dinners were exceptional. The raw oysters were amazing - we had a few "experts" from the US northeast claim they were better than anything thy had had in new england. I had the rigatoni with venison bolognese twice it was that good. Beet and goat cheese salad was a perfect starter. The famous apple tart to top it off.

The curtius beer was my favorite. It is light and goes down easy. You can also buy some to-go from the shop and I highly suggest you do that! So good! We walked past it last year and didn't have time to stay, so a year later we made it a special point to pop in here after our climb up and down the Montagne de Bueren. Their beer, Curtius, has taken over the town, and for good reason - it's a great, dry Blonde, at 7%, with a little cloudiness that's likely the result of some wheat in the mash. It's like a Duvel but drier and not quite as strong. They have a bar menu but were out of most things when we were there. So we got hapjes (chicken wings) and the cheese plate, which had 3 outstanding cheeses, including a really nice local chevre.

The staff was really excellent, but be warned they don't have an English menu and most of the staff did not speak English. They really did great though with everyone trying their best to communicate.
