A Heartfelt Thank You…read more On behalf of Amy, his siblings, his children, and the entire Young family, we would like to take a moment to sincerely thank Exceptional Care Cremations, Inc. for the incredible job you did in taking care of our beloved Savion--my nephew, my sister's baby boy, her only son, a brother, a father, and our nephew. From the moment you took care of our family, your professionalism, compassion, and customer service were truly beyond exceptional. The love and care that were shown to our family during such a difficult time left us almost lost for words. To Marie, the owner, and her incredible staff: JOB WELL DONE! 10s across the board! If I could give you thousands of stars, I would. Your compassion and attention to our family meant more than you will ever know. Thank you for taking such great care of Savion and for treating him and our family with the dignity, respect, and love we deserved during this difficult time. With heartfelt gratitude, Amy Young & The Entire Young Family

Within just a few days, Ventnor personally hand-delivered my Dads cremation remains and death certificates, and even took the time to get his fingerprints for me. He patiently walked us through every step of the process, explaining what needed to be done and helping us navigate posting the obituary etc. What could have been overwhelming and chaotic was instead handled with grace, kindness, and genuine care. They made a horrible time feel manageable, comforting, and as stress-free as it could possibly be. I am deeply grateful for their support and highly recommend them to anyone who finds themselves needing these services.

My mom passed away after midnight and someone recommended Dellavecchia as a place for her cremation. I agreed in the state of mind without doing my homework as Ron so rudely pointed out. If you are trying to honor your loved one's final wishes by having them cremated, I beg you, find somewhere else. Average cremation is $2000 or less, these guys wanted over 5k for basic services. When I asked Ron what makes your services $3500 more than what it cost me to have my uncles cremated last year, he said go find someone else and I won't release her body until you pay me $810 for a 4 mile ride and 2 days in his freezer. Also, they charge $50 for death certificates and they are only $20 online. So money hungry extortionists who are also mean. The funeral home responded with blatant lies so to clarify. I was asked to sign transportation documents which I did, email time stamp is may 31st at 7:27 am. The fee email sent June 1st at 9:18am. When I called to ask why a basic cremation was 2.5 times the going rate, Ron made it clear that those were the charges and if I didn't like it, I could pick up her body, but not before the $810 was paid for the 4 miles transport and holding her body. Ron never even implied there were extra charges, he quite frankly stated that was his going rate, and he would not budge. The itemized fee sheet lists $50 per death certificate, not the standard $20.

My Aunt looked beautiful and her casket was a gorgeous deep blue with glints of sparkle. A crucifix adorned the top of the casket. The funeral director was extremely polite, gentle and professional the entire time. He kept things moving along, in a patient and polite way. Although they offered to have staff serve as pall bearers there were enough of us able to help. My uncle, who attended, has extreme issues with mobility and they were very patient in helping him to sit graveside at the funeral. I'm very grateful to the Della Vecchia family and I wouldn't hesitate to contact them if I lived a bit closer. Thank you Della Vecchia family for being patient and kind and also helping me to shroud my Aunt Mary in my final act of compassion and love. God Bless you for all the difficult work you do to help our departed IHM sisters. With love, gratitude and deepest appreciation I thank you.

We physically lost two loved ones, and we would not go to anyone else but Strano & Feeley. The excellent customer service begins with the initial home call, taking possession of the deceased loved one (e.g., at home or hospital), then the intake meeting with the family. The clean calming atmosphere starts outside (e.g., fishpond) then continues inside with comfortable furniture and smiling staff to greet you. No matter which staff you receive for the intake meeting, they all conduct themselves with professionalism, care, and provided clear information on the various options. As a grieving loved one, I'd suggest you come to the table with your grief but an open mind and patience with your loved ones present with you and the staff. What I appreciated was for one loved one- we had all the answers prepared, for the other we were figuring out as we went along- staff provided time and space in the intake meeting for us to calmly figure things out. Having someone take notes in the family to compare with the staff's notes is always useful - they were always on point anyway but it's good to remember what you ordered and they will provide you a folder with information from the initial session as well. Any insurance or cemetery logistics were handled on the phone right away by the staff in the first session - which was amazing to watch them navigate the complex systems of care. We had a loved one cremated and another buried in a nearby state - the funeral home still took care of everything, just be sure to provide your photos, music and obituary timely. Nothing was overly complicated and if it was, they never showed it, just showed up for us in every way - we had no worries. When it was time to collect our loved one's things (e.g. urn or possessions not buried) they provide you with a beautiful bag of memories, some unexpected, that showed more care than we could have imagined. By the end of our grieving season this summer - this had become not only a funeral home but an appendage to our family. The staff will forever be a part of our loved ones' legacy. P.S. I would highly recommend the nearby Atterbury VFW - Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3420 for a repast and their regular caterer Ms. Lori. Everyone was such a blessing and joy to work with, and they took care of absolutely everything including décor and the food was delicious.
