When we moved in, our value was determined by the property tax value of $227k. Within two months, the agent increased our value to approximately $270k. I called the office and the front office person was extremely polite and friendly. He attempted to forward me to Mr. Whittenburg, and it seems that the agent did not want to talk to me and returned me back to front office rep. The front office rep was, again, very polite and thorough in explaining about why our value had been increased. Fast forward to April 2016: we had major hail hit the SA area two times in two weeks. When we went to put in a claim for our roof, we found that our home value had been increased to $320k (current property tax value at $247k.) Our home started at $227k less than 6 months before. We called the agent to correct the issue, and a front office rep (also very polite) assisted my husband and made corrections to very inaccurate information entered about our home that appears to have been fraudulently reported by either the agent or someone in his office. She stated that she would put in some amendments and that our call would be returned when the matter was settled. Still no returned calls and our phone calls are currently not being answered. Not happy with our experience with this agent at all. We have not historically had to file many claims for either our cars or our home since becoming homeowners 11 years ago but this is extremely unprofessional. We only insure our home with this agent. We had even hand delivered the checks to them, because we were right down the street. What's worse, they never notified us that they cancelled our policy, but the bank did, by adding money to our balance. They were failing to report our policies to them. We finally had enough and went with another insurance company. Now, they say that we owe the a month's worth of dues and reported us to a credit agency, 3 1/2 years later.
