I would give zero stars but I cant. I receive a driver who was driving erratically almost crashing multiple times while my infant was in the car. Claimed i spilled drink and charged me extra for no reason. Upon contacting customer support i was denied any service and they gave me the run around for no reason. Driver also threatened to beat me up as well as leave me on the side of the road with my infant and wife. I will not be removing these comments or reviews. read more

Reliable Taxi - Driver to avoid. He is dangerous behind the wheel and doesn't mind putting your life in danger - Taxis Near Me - Mount Vernon, New York

I took a cab yesterday and the driver was recklessly driving while i had my baby in the back seat me and my husband told him to slow down for our child he turned around and started yelling at us called my husband a bad father and told me and my husband that he was going to pull over on the side of the highway to fight my husband he almost crashed us twice because he was not looking at the road read more

Reliable Taxi - This is the cab driver's license number - Taxis Near Me - Mount Vernon, New York

I got in a cab with Paul as the driver. I noticed that the plates were not matching what was stated on the app so I asked and he said that the company mess up the plates sometimes on the app. His name probably wasn't even Paul. My 1st mistake was getting into the car seeing the plates didn't match, what was shown on the app. In going to the train station I noticed the driver taking a route that I wasn't familiar with so I said oh you can make a left here and it's a straight shot. He proceeded to say that I was a stupid lady and it didn't matter he was the driver (I take this route Monday through Friday). I was warned prior to taking this company "that their drivers are rude". Back to Uber/Lyft immediately!! read more

The guy Kevin didn't show up to pick me up n charge me 11:40 n they charge my card and I've been calling them like a 100 years now n they not picking up read more

I was overcharged. I need to know why. I can't get anyone to speak with. The phone only rings. I will never use them again.

The Worst! All their cars are dirty, smelly. and breaking down. Every single car is horrible and extremely overpriced. Even the drivers stink. Twice I cancelled cause the driver came riding double. the same driver came after and the back seat was full of garbage, that I had to say something for him to even clean it off. Then they are all rude. Definitely NOT RELIABLE!! read more

The service from the taxi driver (Joseph Bartholomew #4702) was disatisfying and wreckless. On Monday August 19th, my ride from point A to point B was apparently $8 however I recalled previous rides costing less than that. That morning, I had the exact amount that is usually paid which was $6. As I gave the money, he responded in an unbelievably rude manner. Joseph said the following words: "get the f&%# out my car b%#^$". Although he was frustrated, there is a different approach when speaking to the public. He was very disrespectful. I contacted the company directly via phone and spoke with the manager who claimed that she was unfamiliar with the driver. How does a manager not know her employees? Never again. It could've been worse. I will never use their services again. read more

Reliable Taxi - Taxis Near Me - Mount Vernon, New York

This company is on time and the drivers show courtesy and respect

Honestly, for the name reliable they are not so reliable. Either cab drivers don't pick up the app call or the dispatcher doesn't pick up. Some of the drivers are pleasant you are better off taking their personal number. But some drivers are unprofessional and possible predators. My sister of 16 years of age stated her driver tried to hit on her. Like next time that happens authorities will be contacted immediately!!!! And I myself have had instances where I felt uncomfortable because of the drivers. I'm just trying get home not laid read more

I called this company to order a cab and I could not get an answer to the phone 3 * absolutely unacceptable

I'v been using Reliable Cab for over 20 years. They're improved their service with texts updates to arrival. I find their cost to be a little MORE reasonable than that Uber read more

When i call they pick me up on time there drivers are good people and there cars are kept clean

Called this company and was downstairs within 3-5 minutes. I'm from NYC, uptown specifically, and when we call a cab and are told 3 minutes we know to be downstairs right away and they're usually there waiting. I never knew it was customary to call a taxi while standing outside in the cold but apparently that's what you need to do with this company. Adding insult to injury knowing that cabs aren't cruising the streets like they are in NYC, the dispatcher was rude, condescending and before hanging up told us to call another company. So incredibly rude. Reliable? I think not. read more

I normally do not review but if I don't say something here, it will be a disservice to the public! TERRIBLE! If there were negative ratings, I'd give that! Not only were me & my son waiting where we said we would be, but we waited so long! The driver bypassed us at first and the dispatcher had to tell him to return. When he did finally show, he picked up another fare and dropped her off first! We were late, he was unprofessional and I would NEVER call them again! I'd rather walk! Save yourself the trouble and take the bus or Metro North! read more

Worst cab service in existence! Cab drivers don't want to work and the owner could care less! He was there as one of his drivers dismissed a women whom the dispatcher told to go to his car! It really starts from the top I see. Never again! read more

I've been using Reliable Taxi Service for more than 18 yrs. One thing that was apparent to me upon returning back to work @ the library in July, was the same friendly & safe service, but w/cleaner cars! Firstly, they are following Cuomo's mandate by wearing masks & vehicles are noticeably cleaner! Tis bad enough we must contend with & adapt to change, yet, one can have confidence in knowing their service has not faltered! Whether local or out of town: reasonable fare, courteous & professional, rides comfortably, & the few times I called the dispatcher (no response w/in a reasonable time), they would have a driver at my door within minutes! read more

They need to be renamed Unreliable Taxi. It's a hit or miss if they decide to show up when you call them and do not expect to get a cab in under 30 minutes and I literally live 5 minuets away. This company has existed for many many years and yet there hasn't been any improvement in service. The cabs are extremely old and run down. They are such a disappointment in comparison to other taxi services in our surrounding local towns. read more

This company's name is a complete misnomer; they are FAR from reliable!! In the times I've had to use this service, the dispatchers either don't answer the phone or, when they do actually answer, they're rude and are misleading in giving ETAs for their cabs. In addition, my husband and son encountered one driver who used an iPhone charging cord to keep the passenger door shut in place AND was drinking a beverage suspiciously placed in a brown paper bag! How do they stay in business?? If you want truly reliable service, DO NOT call these guys!!! read more

DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY. They are anything but reliable. Worst cab company ive ever had to deal with. The dispatcher was rude from the moment she picked up the phone and never gave me an estimated amount of time or price had to call them back to establish that since the dispatcher hung up on me after telling me id have a cab. Then I was told 5-10 minutes. A half hour goes by and nobody ever showed. When I tried to call back no one ever answered. I have no idea how they are still in business. REPEAT DO NOT USE! read more

Occasionally, I need to get a cab to an airport, and, since I live in Mt. Vernon, I have used Reliable Taxi (because they're located in Mt. Vernon). I got to them just because they were local, and I figured, why not. I've used them 3 times over the past number of months. Fact is, they are very reliable. I call the night before, and, this last time, I got a call back within an hour of my making the reservation, from the driver, asking me to verify the specifics of the reservation. He told me his name, and that he'd arrive 15 minutes before the request. He arrived 15 minutes before, as promised, and was perfectly professional and efficient. It's just a taxi ride, but it was exactly what I needed, when I needed it. They live up to their name, and I no longer worry about whether or not the driver will find my house or show up on time. read more

Upon arriving at the Eastchester/Dyre Avenue subway station at 12:30 am, on August 28, 2017, I phoned Reliable Taxi to order a ride to a destination in Mount Vernon.* They were recommended to me by several fellow passengers. The dispatcher told me the fare was $7, cash only, and he promptly sent me a text advising the driver would arrive within 10 minutes, the cab's make/model/color, and the driver's name. I saw the cab within 2 minutes, at which time I received another text announcing his arrival. The polite, casually but neatly dressed driver explained the cab's trunk was broken and then loaded my two suitcases in the back seat (whose passenger side door handle, I noticed, was also broken), and off we went. After a quick but safe ride to my destination, the driver unloaded my suitcases and very graciously thanked me for my (admittedly "fat") tip. My trip was fast, safe, and pleasant, and I will use Reliable Taxi again. However, I hope their other cabs are better maintained than the one they sent for me. To be safe, I recommend that parties comprising multiple passengers and luggage tell the dispatcher to send either a sedan with a working trunk or an SUV. *For safety and insurance reasons, I don't recommend ever using a gypsy cab, 'though they abound at Dyre Avenue and other MTA train and bus stops throughout NYC's five boroughs. Moreover, I distrust Uber's pricing, since they have on multiple occasions charged my credit card more than the fare quoted in their app and on other occasions didn't honor my promo coupons until my credit card company forced them to. read more

I would love to rate them on their service, however, I was never able to use their service since they do not believe in answering their telephone. They should consider changing their name to Not Very Reliable Taxi. read more

Probably the worst taxi service ever. The app makes it a little better because now I can tell exactly were my cab is. This has to have the weirdest and craziest drivers. read more

They Never are Reliable. Wait times a never what they say and how do you not have cabs ready at 6 am when that's when people have to go to work. They are the worst cab company here in CI. I get up early enough and call 45 minutes before to catch train and there are no cabs available till 630. What is that. Why are you called Reliable for. read more

Called the company, found out later they never showed up. Definitely not calling them again now especially after the story on news12.

UNRELIABLE, the drivers are unfriendly, rude, the people on the phone are unfriendly and rude as well, it is almost impossible to become a cab, when needed specially in the winter time! read more

At two separate points in time over the span of 3 months, I've called this cab service multiple times and they literally DON'T ANSWER THEIR PHONE. I have no way of getting where i'm going in time now since for the past 20 minutes they just don't pickup although there's literally always someone at their depot. I used to use this cab service quite a bit a few years back, but i don't know what happened to them now that they are so inattentive to their own business. People have places to go and it's unfair that they laze around and not do their job for no reason. They aren't "reliable" at all. read more

Absolutely phenomenal service for one! I made a call and with in 5 minutes they showed up and I live in Bronxville. Took me all the way to JFK for a relatively cheap price for how far they took us! Definitely use reliable if you need a cab and your near by read more

Not very reliable if they don't answer the phone! I called for 15mins and nothing. Not wasting my time next time

Dispatcher @ Reliable after not answering the phone for 20 minutes proceeds to lecture me about how there is no point in complaining because they are so busy. Then tells me I'm so close to their office I should have walked to them. Dude - I'm complaining because YOU ARE A TERRIBLE DISPATCHER. If you can't handle the basic initial interaction of your job i.e., picking up the phone, and then lash out at your paying customers you clearly don't understand your job description. All you had to say was I know - we are super busy, sorry for the wait - and that would have been fine. So here's wishing you a painful rectal rash for valentines weekend. read more

So terrible!!!! I asked for a cab to the airport - checked traffic and asked him to take the Triborough and he refused. Showed him traffic was lighter and he proceeded to the Whitestone anyway. Then I get called by a different driver yelling at me that I got in the wrong taxi (they dispatched two) and my driver decided he had to pull over to get to the bottom of it (already on the way to the airport). Lastly, we got to the airport and he missed the departure area all together. We had to jump out and cross the exit lanes to walk back and into the baggage area to run up to our gates. Unbelievable. read more

At first they were pretty decent but the morning dispatcher today was DISGUSTINGLY RUDE and I won't spend another dime here! I called for a taxi at 6:05 AM and immediately went outside to stand in front of my house so they wouldn't make noise blowing the horn 10 times. 6:10 ... 6:20 ... 6:25. I called back and asked if my taxi was on its way and the man said to me "He left you weren't outside" WHAT!!! Then he had the nerve to tell me yea uh huh, ok, and that oh you were NOT outside, like I was lying and he was the driver - I'm paying MY money and that's how you talk to your customers?? Why would I stand outside in 20degree weather for 20minutes and lie about it! He then with an attitude told me he was sending ANOTHER driver - the second dispatched taxi that picked me up the driver even saw my face beet red and I asked do you think my face would look like this if I just came outside? Even he said no because he was in front of the wrong house until he saw me waving. If the company wasn't so cheap and would purchase GPS, they wouldn't get my house wrong EVERY TIME even when I take a taxi directly from their facility!! read more

I just called this company, and asked for a cab to meet me at Fleetwood station. The dispatcher said they don't meet cabs and to call when I was at the platform. I explained that I had TWO sleeping toddlers on the train, and my cell battery was about to die, so I couldn't. He was very rude and said that he couldn't have drivers waiting in the car for trains...not caring about a customer waiting in the cold for a cab with two little kids. I did get angry, but especially so after he called me "sweetheart". Merry Christmas. Call some other company. They don't deserve any business. read more
