I called pretty late the night before because my well pump stopped putting out water and left a message because there wasn't much that could be done at that time. I was called back early the next day and promised I'd have someone be at my house about lunchtime. That absolutely happened. What's crazy is that I also called another company that starts with a "C" and almost did an emergency call but instead was told they'd have someone come by the next morning.. well, that didn't happen so when Malloy's called me back, I was all over it. It's wild to me that the other company didn't show up before Malloy's, considering i had a full conversation right after the water went out. More so, Malloy's told me what they thought it could be over the phone and it was a fairly inexpensive fix compared to Culligan. They told me to take a picture of the pump before they even came out, which was a $1.2k job. Malloy's didn't do that but rather let me know the pump and the water tank was good and it seemed air was getting into the system...a wildly cheaper job and instead of probably having a new pump and some pipes re-run by the other company and probably paying out over $1.6k or maybe more. Malloy's worried about only charging me for what I should pay for and it's sad but it floored me because that's such a rarity today. We will eventually have them redo a well for us because I now don't trust any other well company. My only regret about them is that I wished they did plumbing as well because I need some work done in that area and need a company I know that I can trust and that I know is honest, works hard, and communicates...and also delivers on what they promise. To break it down into pros and cons: Pros: Great value concerning cost (cheaper parts and labor) On time Promises made, promises kept Diligent/hard workers Left yard in as good of shape as when they got there Let me be as involved or as hands-off in the job as I wanted (they didn't care if I watched them the whole time) Got the job done and weren't going to leave until it was fixed (thanks guys!) Cons: None... Overall, I wish a lot of other companies would be less greedy and be a lot more like Malloy's. They're a bit of a throwback concerning customer service and costs. Absolutely highly recommended!

We had several well-known water services come out, and Non offered a solution other than a Deepwater well. Malloy was the first one to come out and actually test the water, and was able to use our old existing well and install a new pump which saved us several thousand dollars. we couldn't have been happier with Jimbo and his entire crew. They were on time and even worked Saturday to get it up and running. One of the best service experiences we've ever had. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

We trusted the job was done and didn't know it wasn't until a neighbor alerted us the lawn was dead at the end of March. We then reached out to Harrison to try to rectify. Instead of taking accountability - he replied similarly - deflection, excuses and blame to the customer. An unfortunate and unprofessional response. We called Harrison to service a sprinkler system of an older relative who had just moved into a care facility leaving the home unoccupied. The ask was to service the system and turn on the sprinkler schedule for the season. Harrison serviced the system but failed to set it to run. We are managing this from afar so this was a critical and unfortunate oversight - and has resulted in the sprinklers never actually running (and the lawn being in terrible condition). When we reached back out to try to understand the issue, Harrison deflected responsibility, said of course he didn't turn the system on because the service call was on Feb 21 and he had concerns about cold so he left it off. (FWIW temps were not below freezing at the time of service nor any time after.) His solution was to suggest we get a neighbor to help out to get the system running. It is frustrating to pay $125 for a service call where one of the two asks was not addressed - we don't recommend nor will we be using him again.

I had them install a drain system but they do lots of things: excavation, pavers, drain systems, irrigation. But based on poor business practices and a "screw the customer" mentality, I would not recommend Noles Scapes for any type of job. I had once written a good review on this company but unfortunately I am forced to replace that with a very negative experience. I will detail my experience summer 2022 and then fast forward to impacts of that work that were discovered 18 months later, and my attempt to resolve that in spring 2024. First, homeowners need to know that Noles Scapes was by far the highest estimate, almost double the price of others, but I chose them to install a landscape drain system because the owner, Chad Noles, sold himself as an expert. He is not. Second, the original plan written called for two pop up valves at the street, he instead installed one and said that if it did not support the volume of water running off, he'd come back and reroute it to a second. This turned out to be a false promise. Third, Mr. Noles himself may be capable, but he is absent during the installation. His workers installed a system which we now know incorrectly runs uphill. I was there when it was installed and I asked the workers "How do you know it has the right pitch? Where's your level?" As the pipe looked to be going uphill. Like true smart alecks they simply said they don't know of it has the right pitch. I asked how do they test it. They said "we don't". Wrong answer! Fourth, when they were done with the job the owner tried to bill me for an extra $1000 for what he called extra work. Work that I did not request, and for which they did not get my approval for extra charges. In fact they did less work than promised as I was to have two pop up valves but he installed only one. The end of that was after asking him to retract the extra invoice and he refused, I then posted a negative review about the overcharge, and then he cried 'uncle' and finally retracted the extra invoice. So he proved he only does the "right thing" when forced. Behavior that demonstrates poor character and lack of ethical business practices. Fast forward 18 mo to the holiday season 2023. I came to the conclusion that there were big problems and the system was improperly installed. I knew there were issues but didn't realize the magnitude of it until my GC who installed my siding in 2022 indicated I had to rip off that brand new siding off the corner of the house and replace it. One contributing reason for this is that Mr. Noles entire drain system backs up and caused the gutters to overflow and pour down the side of the house. Additionally, instead of the catch basin nearest my foundation carrying water away, instead water gushes out of that catch basin, and a giant pond forms right next to my foundation. I would be better off having no drain system at all. The GC, a fine upstanding gentleman, insisted that we contact Mr. Noles to ask him to correct the improperly installed drain system. Based on my prior interactions with Mr. Noles, I did not expect him to do the right thing and told my GC this. But I also told my GC that it was a test, as I would have liked to hire Mr. Noles to install pavers across the entire front of my lot and parking drive. And if he proved to do the right thing and make the drain system right, perhaps I proceed with hiring him for pavers. So my GC proceeded to contact Mr. Noles. After much back and forth, Mr. Noles did the typical dance so many unethical contractors in our area do: he made excuses, skirted accountability, and tried to claim that someone altered his system. He even said "we don't use green pipe" as green pipe is used for sewage, claiming it wasn't his work. I then produced videos of all the piping exposed during the 2022 installation with his guys in the video. Yep. It was all green pipe. When my GC had exhausted all efforts to answer Mr. Noles rebuttals, finally Mr. Noles admitted to my GC that he was just angry that I refused to succumb to his extra invoice for the extra $1000 bucks he tried to charge me way back in 2022. The extra invoice for work I never approved. So he admitted he was refusing to make the job right so as to punish me. And that is Mr. Noles philosophy: overcharged your customers, and when they refuse, punish them. Based on my interactions with Mr. Noles in 2022, this attempt to resolve the bad work in 2024 turned out as I anticipated. Unfortunately he's shot himself in the foot as my GC is very well connected in the market, so Mr. Noles has not only damaged his reputation with me, but with anyone within my GC's network. It probably would have cost Mr. Noles only hundreds of dollars to remedy my drain system, but now he loses a giant paver job. It never pays to screw the customer.
