They were into the job in minutes pulling out a number of tiles. Dave knew exactly what he was doing though and the problem was identified as leadwork round the soil pipe. As the soil pipe was not connected to anything, they removed it and the lead, put in a section of lathe to replace a rotting area and fetched in a new tile to fill the gap. We watched in wonder and were able to see photos of the problem area on photos from his mobile phone. Fast, efiicient and a good price. Look no further for your roofer.

Do your research before hiring this guy, get references, question why he is selling you something…read morethat he is not qualified for! He likes to name drop about people he knows from building control, but actually it's just his mates who pretend. He will cut corners, offer you great sounding guarantees and then disappear once he has your money. He will happily tell his hired workers that you arent paying him, just so he can delay his costs. I found this out after the job and set the record straight by showing his angry little mob emails and receipts. He sounds very confident, but try to challenge his knowledge and watch him clam up and "always knows best". I wish I had seen the signs before hiring this nightmare. You can find him on Mybuilder - Look at the reviews for larger jobs (more than conservatories or simple electrics). Make a contract before you start the job and make sure you do not pay him weekly/daily, until you have verified his work fully.
