And I feel guilty, because I so want to take them all home, but my wallet says no, it tells me I can only take one, or two. So how do I decide? Well, I'm a sucker for both the culinary and the literary section, but there are lots of other goodies as well. This place is hands down the best magazine store I have come across, it's not a place for Cosmo and Better Homes & Gardens, but Lula, Cereal, Kinfolk and journals you didn't even know existed outside of your dreams.

I think there is no other place in Berlin that has such a quality selection. Also, there are plants magazines in English. Staff is really friendly, people are relaxed. I usually tend to end up for an hour here browsing magazines until I finally can decide which one to take home.

Mit starrer Miene und kritischem Blick, der vermutlich mehr vom letzten Facelift als von echter Kompetenz stammt, wollte sie mir weismachen, mein Ausweis sei gefälscht, weil meine Unterschrift nicht "millimetergenau" wie auf dem 9 Jahre alten Dokument war. Sorry, aber das ist Kundenservice auf Gruselkabinett-Niveau. Wer nicht mit Lineal unterschreibt oder seinen Ausweis seit der Pubertät nicht aktualisiert hat: Spart euch den Besuch. Oder bringt am besten gleich euer Grundschulzeugnis mit - sicher ist sicher. "Botox Boutique Disguised as a Convenience Store" Didn't realize I'd walked into a CSI audition instead of a late-night shop. The staff member on duty--clearly more familiar with Botox appointments than basic customer service--seemed convinced I was committing identity fraud because my signature didn't perfectly match the one on my 9-year-old ID. With a face frozen in suspicion (and maybe something else), she scrutinized my signature like it was a national security threat. Honestly, I've never had such an absurd experience. So, word of advice: if you can't replicate your teenage signature with surgical precision, avoid this place. Or bring your elementary school handwriting samples--just to be safe.
