Pretty disappointing to be honest. From my personal experience, this place was concentrating more on their aesthetic than they were on their massages. I have a lot of full body massages, as I travel a lot and have regular back pain, but after this one, I feel like I need another. It was more like a light, greasy pat down than a massage, even after asking for more pressure numerous times.
The most disappointing thing was at the end when I came to pay. They tried to charge me extra because I'd booked in for a Swedish, but because I'd asked for more pressure, my massage had involuntarily been upgraded to a "deep tissue". Thankfully after a little back and forth they agreed to charge me for what I'd booked in for. Much appreciated, and perhaps a Swedish massage is different in the UK than at home in NYC, but I doubt it.
The place looked great, and everyone was nice a polite.. I even got strawberries, chocolates and tea at the end.. but sadly the massage was a let down. I'd rather go to a no frills place that gave a good massage and buy some chocolate and strawberries at Tesco.
