I love getting my facials from Natalie. She take great care of my skin and I usually fall asleep. I…read morehave yet to find a good massage therapist. All my favorites end up leaving and I've been a member for over a year. Only go to Chris if you want to be in pain. I actually hurt more from my massage than I did before. I had asked for relaxation and all I got was elbow massaging with rough movements. Unfortunately I'm more stiff and sore after which has never happened to me and I've had deep tissue. It's so hard to find a therapist there because the desk says everyone is good, but I've yet to be impressed with my last 3 massages.

Caveat Emptor…read more Scheduled a massage to relieve some back pain. Massage was average compared to past massages, there are better places for the same price not far away. Store and staff appearance wasn't great. You can hear people talking in other rooms, the staff all wear black clothes that should have been replaced 6 months ago, and everywhere you look there are marketing materials trying to sell you into their membership program (one or two signs should be sufficient; a TV, photo books, posters, and table tents at every turn is overkill and annoying). After the session I was suckered on the great pricing of the membership and how much I would save by paying upfront for a massage each month. Since I was planning on massages for the next few months, I thought it made sense so I signed up. The only problem is that they don't tell you the terms and conditions and since they take up the entire back of the contract I didn't spend 10 minutes reading them before signing. They knew I was only going to use it for a few months, thanks for the heads-up! The only way to cancel is to buy a new house 30 miles away, die, or by surviving a face first fall out of a 4th story window making it impossible to receive facials or back massages. I called the next month to let them know how deceived I felt, but their response: "you signed the contract, it's all laid out in the contract". I'd been had! After a few months, I tried the facial. This was also average compared to other salons. The team is clearly coached to sell product. Before, during, and after the facial they push product. Hard. Makes it hard to relax when you're constantly saying "let's see how it works first". I'm now at the end of my 12 month contract and I've submitted my official request to cancel along with some choice words regarding my experiences. Massage Retreat's response: "I'm sorry you feel that way". Oh, and another disappointment - They can change prices with just a 14 day notice, but since you're required to give a 30 day cancellation notice, you have no choice but to pay the new rate. They just did it to me and that seems dirty. Based on the lack of empathy, car salesman mentality, customer disservice, deceptive selling, and disappointing experiences the past 12 months, I will not be returning to any massage retreat and I recommend you steer clear as well. They churn and burn customers and are just fine with that model. Go someplace else for a better experience at the same price.

I booked a massage late on Wednesday for a Thursday AM spot. By the time I completed the booking,…read morethe spot showed unavailable. No problem, I booked the next opening. The next morning I received and email confirmation for the 1st spot booked. I called the spa and was told they will charge me for both appointments since the spot could not be rebooked and cancel was within 24 hours. THE BOOKING WAS WITHIN 24 HOURS. According to the GM, the therapist has to get paid since the cancel was not within 24 hours. She also confirmed both appointments were booked within seconds of each other but would not assist me. I would not book the Savage location. There are MANY other locations that treat their members fairly but not this franchised location. The front desk and the therapist wete both lovely, the cancer at this location is the management..

I went to this Massage Envy location and left with bruising and soreness all over. My masseuse,…read moreused extreme pressure (not a deep tissue massage) and I asked her three times to "please go lighter " in which one instance I told her that she was actually hurting me. She did not listen and told me that I was "so tight" and continued to apply extreme pressure. Additionally, she was 10 min late to the service and forgot to the addition that I paid for. When I called Massage Envy to complain and ask for a refund on my service they offered me a giftcard which is entirely inappropriate considering what I had received out the experience. I explained that the refund wasn't as big of a deal to me but rather that this does not happen again. There response was we talked to the person and "I get bruises sometimes during mine too." I am completely uncomfortable, sore and irritated by the response Massage Envy has taken in the matters of a client being bruised and in pain after a service. I would never recommend this place nor will I be returning.
