As we were walking out we noticed a sign for a free wax service at a new business upstairs. Feeling good after a watermelon margarita and sporting some unkempt eyebrows I convinced my friend to give them a try. I was planning on going first but Debbie grabbed my friend while I was filling out the paperwork. Since I was the one who convinced her to go I was so relieved when she walked out happy. When it was my turn Debbie really took the time to do a great job. The wax was comfortably warm, no pain, and stray hairs begone. Debbie has a gentle touch. Fun facts about Debbie. She is new to Florida by way of Arkansas, she has a decade of experience, and she has eight kids, the oldest who is 28 and the youngest who is 12. You would never believe it by looking at her. Debbie will take care of all of your waxing needs as well as tint eyelashes and eyebrows, provide barber style cuts, and hot towel shaves. All of her prices are on her web site. Parking can be difficult but there is a $2 an hour lot only a block away. Debbie has such a sweet and welcoming personality. I feel like I not only walked out with great brows but I made a new friend. Welcome to Florida and Yelp Debbie!

She is as gorgeous on the inside as she is on the outside and was just fantastic. She asked about allergies, if I'd ever waxed before , etc and really took the time to make sure I was comfortable. Brandy, the receptionist was so friendly, kind, fun and it really set the tone! Then I got waxed by Tena, she was also so nice, friendly, and fun! The studio was so clean, every client gets their own waxing pot - so it feels personal and the wax is fresh, which is soooo important! The wax was sooo gentle and didn't hurt at all, I couldn't believe that I barely felt it! This wax is amazing for everyone, but especially beginners who have never gotten waxed. (Zero pain!) Also, they gave me an ice pack after to close the pores - this was just such a nice little add on that makes a difference. I have extremely sensitive skin and usually feel a little uncomfortable after my wax, this time around I feel amazing - my skin feels the softest it has felt and there is ZERO irritation. They also have an amazing program - I pay around $65 a month to have unlimited bikini/brazilians.

But the last two times I went in I requested the same services but got charged way more and I tried disputing it to the front desk but she acted "confused" and said that's the service I got but it wasn't what I requested. I was obviously frustrated enough that someone (management I assume) called me back to "help" but did nothing to fix my overcharge she just talked in circles about how they had to charge me that cuz I requested the service. I didn't. So I'm frustrated and still needing to finish the job I was overcharged for. I would absolutely not go here if you want to be valued and respected as a customer. I recently decided to try sugaring after spending years suffering burning, itching, ingrown hairs every time my hair grew back in from shaving. I'd never waxed before, but I read sugaring was gentler and upon a little research Sophia's studio popped up in Yelp. I decided to give it a try and I'm so happy I did...that said, I'm also convinced I got lucky by finding Sophia because she is amazing! I was extremely nervous about sugaring, especially in vulnerable places where the sun doesn't shine! But she was so skilled, offering advice when I asked for tips on home care and exfoliation and educating me on the finer details of the process, as well about my hair pattern/type. Despite having had a child, I was still nervous and intimidated about getting sugared in the bikini area, but Sophia was somehow professional, yet comforting with genuine conversation. I doubt everyone gets this lucky when they go to their aesthetician! After having such great results with the sugaring (which for my first time was intense, but oh so worth it!), I tried dermaplaining with Sophia. The whole facial was ahhhmazing, and now my skin looks so bright, youthful, and glowy!! After the light therapy and face masks (the algae face mask was so soothing) I left looking like a dewy queen. I'm in love and I'm so grateful for Sophia and her bright, beautiful spirit. There's no question she loves what she does, and it's something you want when you hire someone to help you take care of yourself! So if your looking for *the one*, she is it!!!

Extremely disappointing prenatal spa experience and even worse customer service…read more My boyfriend paid $157 for a prenatal massage and facial package as a special treat for me toward the end of my pregnancy. What was supposed to be a relaxing and enjoyable experience turned into an absolute disappointment. First, the prenatal massage itself was extremely uncomfortable. This spa advertises prenatal massages, yet they don't have specialized prenatal massage beds to accommodate pregnant women. Instead, I had to spend the massage lying on my sides, which was uncomfortable and far from relaxing. I understand that side-lying positioning can be used for prenatal massages, but I expected a much more comfortable setup from a business specifically advertising this service. The massage itself was also unlike anything I've experienced before, and not in a good way. I arrived with my hair freshly done and left with massage oil all over my hair. The therapist even massaged my ears, which I found incredibly unpleasant and unnecessary. I've had massages before, and I've never experienced anything quite like this. The advertised aromatherapy was equally disappointing. Rather than the relaxing aromatherapy experience I anticipated, the therapist simply rubbed oil onto their hands and held them directly in front of my face. As if the actual massage experience wasn't disappointing enough, the esthetician called out, meaning I never received the facial included in the package my boyfriend purchased. I completely understand that emergencies happen, and I have absolutely no issue with that. My issue is with how unprofessionally the business handled the situation afterward. When I reached out to request a refund for the facial that was never performed, I was met with dismissive and unprofessional responses. Despite explaining the situation multiple times, I was literally asked, "Refund of?" I was then offered a $13 refund on a $157 package, without any explanation of how that was calculated. When I expressed my disappointment, I was told, "We are all human and an emergency came up for the therapist," followed by "Have a nice day." Nobody was questioning the employee's emergency. The issue is that your business failed to provide a service that was already paid for, and instead of taking accountability, you made the customer feel unreasonable for requesting a refund. I was repeatedly told to contact Groupon because the spa couldn't refund the package and was offered the option of returning another day for the facial. However, after such an uncomfortable and disappointing experience, why would I want to return? I shouldn't have to make another trip because your business was unable to fulfill the original appointment. For $157, I expected a comfortable prenatal massage, the services advertised, and professional customer service. Unfortunately, I received none of those things to the standard I expected. What makes this especially frustrating is that this was supposed to be a thoughtful gift from my boyfriend during the final weeks of my pregnancy. Instead of leaving relaxed and pampered, I left uncomfortable, with oil all over my freshly done hair, without my facial, and having to chase down a refund. I would absolutely not recommend this spa, especially to expecting mothers looking for a comfortable, relaxing prenatal massage. Save your money and book somewhere that actually prioritizes your comfort and delivers the experience it advertises.
