Located in the picturesque village of Hoveringham in South Nottinghamshire, this geuine local village pub provides all the warmth and service you would hope for.
With low ceilings and roaring fire in the winter times it has that nice homely feel to it, plus it is not the biggest pub in the world so it can be nice and cosy when busy.
The pub also serves food, which is a bit better than your standard pub grub. There is a separate dining area and it is in slight contrast to the pub side as it has a bit more modern and upmarket feel to it. Food is good although you do pay for this and you can expect similar prices to what you might find in some decent restaurants.
In summer this makes an ideal place to visit for Cricket fans. It backs directly onto the Hoveringham CC cricket field and there are benches out the back meaning you can sup a nice pint whilst listening to the thwack of willow on leather. read more
