This is a pub and a Biergarten - very casual and laid back, on top of the White Stone mountain,…read morenear the look-out tower. Our friends had a joint birthday party celebration here, and we thoroughly enjoyed this new experience. The tables were set up outdoors (the weather was fantastic), as well as the buffet. Prior to sitting down to a delicious German meal, the guests enjoyed the open bar, with a wide selection of beer, juices, wine and soft drinks. My older teens had a shandy and a pale ale, my husband took a wheat beer, and I enjoyed a glass of Riesling. The buffet offered numerous salads (pasta, German potato, beet, bean and white radish), with a selection of wursts, grilled chicken, pork chops and ham, along with hot crispy fries and baked potatoes. It was quite yummy and filling. For families with kids of all ages (including my 18 and 20 year-olds), there is a petting zoo of goats, pot belly piglets, rabbits and guinea pigs The goats are a "scream" - constantly demanding to be fed! the charming pond with a wooden bridge over it and lovely Lillie pads make for nice photo spots. Come here with local friends, or if you are fluent in German. This is not a common tourist location.
