I hate getting my hair cut. Seriously, like worse than going to the dentist. Therefore, I only get my hair did about once a year, when it gets to the stage where it is no longer socially acceptable to wear it down.
Usually, the stylist gives me a lecture about how to properly take care of my hair and what insanely pricey products i should buy to ensure that it doesn't all fall out, or stop that hot guy from asking me out. However, my time at the Regis hair salon was not spent like that. I went there on a whim and was immediately pleased that they recommended a stylist (£35) instead of the most expensive option. Then, instead of a lecture, my stylist Fran instead listened to what I was looking for, gave a few suggestions and then got on with it. She was incredibly friendly and I think a little clairvoyant.
My hair looks wonderful, I walked out without having 100 products pushed on me and I might have even enjoyed the experience, so much so that i am going to make another appointment in less than 3 months from the original (as all the other hairdressers have told me is appropriate!) read more
