Wonderful Doctors and actually take the time needed with patients...It's nice and it honestly should be appreciated more because it's becoming a lost art. She's a wonderful listener & always very attentive to my concerns, & changes in pain levels. She gave me physical therapy exercises to do at home & had several treatment recommendations I used in addition to using medication. She closely monitors my pain levels not only the day of my appointment, but throughout the entire one month period between appointments. She never rushes through her time with me & provides a very personalized patient care experience. Shes always very open & honest, explaining why or why not she recommends or prescribes various treatments. In addition to medication & home exercise, she gives spinal injections that provide excellent pain relief & allow me to perform more activities without using more medication. As a retired RN of 32 years, I highly recommend Dr Stelling, not only because she is a highly specialized, intelligent physician, but also because of her sincere concern for her patients. So, The Wildwood. Assisted living, Senior living (whatever we call it now) is a round the clock Groundhog Day quest to keep compromised geriatric residents alive and, well, thriving. This work is not for sissies. The average Target cashier makes more money. The office temp has better hours. The staff and management here at The Wildwood have choices to work where it is not life and death decisions. We have a loved one (LO) here and while there have been a few hiccups, each one was addressed and corrected. Our LO is always clean, always respected, always very well fed, always cared for and each person calls her by name with care....she matters. They have all the current systems in the apartments to keep your LO safe and stable. They endeavor this place feel like home...and it does! They don't take Medicare, so sadly I am sure that's why all the personal attention. But, if mom or grandad struggles at home and u can fund TW living...do it. The best move we made, hard as it was, was to move LO out of her beloved home....The Wildwood is the next best thing. They sure try and often succeed for delicious, fresh and fun and clean. In this business with underpaid caregivers and turnover the norm, that is good. So, it always comes down to people...and training. How much to invest in workers who turn over so quickly? The one area that is crucial where there is room for growth at TW is training care partners...and They do. Often. This past weekend, a tooth broke, forcing the crown off, and causing pain. Called to see about getting in. Staff said they don't do emergencies, and wouldn't attempt to work him in for a month. He hung up on them, called another dentist, who will get him in on Wed. Smiles refused to take a half payment last year when he offered to pay something until the insurance reviewed a poorly written letter. Stated it messed up their billing.
