I called to apply for a loan. The young lady was very helpful and informative. I decided not to get the loan after all.

I only added one star because I had to. Regional Finance is by far the WORST loan establishment I have ever used. The manager, Cami Mims, insists on making your life a living hell. Never in my life have I had a creditor come to MY residence, banging on my door like the police, and demand I sit down and talk. I was late by a few days on a payment and they came to my door at all hours of the day and as late as 9pm, banging on my door and then leaving an envelope threatening to turn me over to collections just for being a couple days late. At the time, I was in between jobs and moving, I contacted Cami so she could work with me. The only way to make payments is either in person or via mail. Since my job was over an hour away, I could not make their business hours to pay in person. One day, Cami told me if I didn't make it on time she would refuse to work with me. I asked her if it was okay if I was 5 minutes late since it took me an hour and a half to get to her office. She said if I didn't make it there by 6pm they couldn't help me and I would have defaulted on my contract. Cami said if I was standing there with money in hand at 6:01pm that NO ONE would accept my payment because it's against their policy. Talk about no kind of leeway with making it easier for customers to make payments. Don't even think about calling them. The clerks there are useless. All they are permitted to do is answer the phone and accept payments. They have absolutely NO authority to make an iota of a decision without consulting Cami. Not only that, they will call you several times in addition to visiting your house. Who does that? When I spoke to a clerk on the phone and asked her not to call me, since I'd already spoken to their manager Cami, she replied with "we are required to call you anyway". Probably so they can report you to collections and can say they actually did call. Whatever the reason, I've never been harassed like this and since I am, it makes me less and less willing to go out of my way to get her payments on time even if I have the funds. I once sent a partial payment in until my next payday and Cami returned it. They will do anything to make it difficult for you to pay and when you're trying to work around their restrictive operations, they are quick to threaten court and refuse your payments completely. If you can't make a payment in person and send someone else to do so on your behalf, good luck with getting a receipt. The clerks will not give that person a receipt even if asked. Not only that, but when you are done paying your loan balance, they will find a way to tack on an additional charge without telling you so you will owe late fees. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE! They WILL come to your house in person and they WILL harrass you every single day, several times a day. This company preys on people. They are "COCKROACHES". Best thing to do is to stay away from them and avoid them like the plaque. They promise you things like" let me tell you how you can miss a payment and just pay a late charge. LIES...they will then charge you the $400 assessment fee all over again...which by the way is how much the interest of 50% is on the $1400.00 check they send out to you. They do it that way because it is illegal to charge over a certain amount of interest so they call it an assessment fee. So please be aware--rip that check up before they destroy your life. Legal loan shark. If you can find anyone else. They do not take payments over the phone and charge an exuberant interest rate.
