She said he was a joy to work with, and very kind, humble and knowledgeable. She suggested I try him. Hands-down, he is the best doctor that I've ever seen. He has wonderful bedside manner, was very friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. He wasn't condescending. I don't need to see a neurosurgeon often, so it won't be often that I need to see him, but I wish there were more doctors like him. If you need a neurosurgeon, he's amazing

The pain was excruciating, resulting in me having to go to the emergency room because the pain was so bad that it was adversely impacting my blood pressure. Due to multiple trips to the emergency room I was admitted. The attending physician in her discharge notes referred me as normal to an orthopedic specialist, but she also mentioned that there was a neurosurgeon in the Piedmont Physician's Group that she would like for me to obtain a consult. Of course the Ortho doctor initially ordered PT which did not help me and after 2 months of that, I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Gates, for the first time, a doctor actually listened to me. He ordered a nerve study and other test and more x-rays and when I returned for our consultation, he took time, we reviewed the results and he provided a diagnosis and plan of action. Diagnosis, sciatica and my L4 & L5 disc had slipped and was pinching my nerves. At this time I am on a walker. I had gone in less than 6 months from high impact aerobics to living, breathing and with every movement of my body being in horrible pain & only able to be slightly mobile on a walker with no relief regardless as to the strength of the pain medication. So very thankful for the ER's referral to Dr. Gates! He was caring, listened to my concerns and fears and provided me with a comprehensive plan of action that included a foraminotomy procedure that restored my quality of life and removed constant, tingling in my (R) leg and hip and living without constant pain and discomfort. Thank you Dr. Gates for your professional, caring approach to patient care. In my months of care with this physician, he only presented himself as a physician that was 100% dedicated to improving my health! 2 years later and I am still happy and pain free! Praying that you experience the same outcome, GOD BLESSED ME WITH DR. GATES!

Overall, I recommend you find a different Neurologists. They do not offer for a different Doctor to see you and give you the results of a important test. They are constantly out of the office so you can't get an appointment. The medical industry has gone to hell!

What's the purpose of an appointment if it takes 45 -1hr to see a doctor? In the waiting room, 4 of…read morethe 8 patients stated the same complaint. One had already been there over an hour. The other said unfortunately it's the closest to her home and don't expect anything less. Folks-don't waste your time unless you are ok with the wait time and Dr Saba who shows no genuine care. To the front staff-read these reviews. They are indicators of what you all are lacking. Apparent that efficiency and perhaps software to Manage all your patients is outdated. MOREOVER, Smile and just pretend you care. The faster and more efficient you are the quicker your patient can leave and if you do it with a smile, well, they are less likely to write reviews like these. And BTW if you are going to talk about a patient for expressing their frustration make sure you do it where they can't see or hear you laughing. End of day-YOU are in customer services and patient services role. And No, this isn't about I had a bad day. This review will be joining the others already online. Dr. Saba is unremarkable. No greeting just straight to "turn off your phone and lie down". Dr. Saba-you should work in greeting your patients with a smile, nod or handshake before you begin to prod and prick and tell them they need surgery. You should look at how long someone has waited for your service. You should consider acknowledging and apologizing if you had a packed or overbooked day. You should tell your patients what to expect during a painful nerve visit. Patients request mutual respect. The accomplished doctor has a bedside manner that is humane and compassionate, empathetic and supportive. Step back and reevaluate your reviews and perhaps put the Ego aside and comprehend that yes, you need to work on your bedside manners.

I was seeing Dr. Natarajan for a while, but I was so angry with her, I could no longer look at her…read more She doesn't take the time to listen to her patients, it feels as though she is trying to rush you out of the office (my little sis attended one of my appointments with me and commented about it after we left), and she is very inconsistent with her practice. After a few visits, my migraines became so terrible and frequent, that I had to take time away from work. During one of my appointments, the VERY FIRST thing I told her was that I had to take time away from work. She told me to drop off my FMLA paperwork, and assured me she would complete it. I dropped my paperwork off on a Friday, and it wasn't completed until almost 2 weeks later; she left town on a Monday, and wasn't returning until the next Monday. Her assistant (bless her heart) tried her best to complete the paperwork on her own. Because things were a bit more complicated, she bumped up my appointment. Dr. Natarajan then filled out additional information (AFTER her assistant) and faxed it over to the company protecting my job. I was then denied for medical leave because the information from my neuro as well as the assistant was contradicting each other. I actually had to revisit and speak with HER manager to get the paperwork clarified and updated because I had made 4+ calls about paperwork issues, and she kept saying "nothing was wrong." I almost lost my job because Dr. Natarajan stated I could return to work on my FIRST appointment with her (even though the paperwork was completed a month AFTER the return to work date). The staff is great, but it's Dr. Natarajan's practice, so I would give her 0 stars if I could. Please search elsewhere if you would like a DEPENDABLE neuro that listens to you.
