I tried to explain to her and even had another instructor from my previous school explain it to her and instead of listening she was insulted that she did not herself know the information and continue to be rude to me and through my paperwork back at me. She got very disgruntled when she found out that I had been voice recording her so that I could prove the way that she had been treating me, after she found out she continuously told me it was illegal which it was not and that I needed to be removed from the school and that I was lying about the reason I needed to transfer schools, she asked where I was living why I couldn't drive to the other one and literally blamed me for lying multiple times when I was not. I have a great relationship with my previous schools teachers I had just moved further away and thought that it would be an easier commute. After posting my review on their Facebook page, A cosmetology instructor I had nor seen nor met that day. Will not stop commenting on Facebook and talking bad about me and posting my private information she obtained off of my personal documents. She's telling everyone how many schools I've been to how many hours I have obtained and blaming me for not being able to finish hair school and pursue my career. I'm being harassed and I am being bullied by elderly women and this is not right. I have turned them into state board and we will see how long they hold their license. I will not standby and be harassed and talked down to buy older women because they do not understand how to work a computer program. This business is absolutely atrocious I understand why they don't have any students enrolled. My previous cosmetology school gave me a full ride scholarship to complete if I make the extra commute to them after what I had to deal with from the school. If they do not stop the harassment I will be seeking legal action against them as well for harassment and personal exploitation.

I had an appointment for color. cut and pedicure. The color was done first, then the cut and then…read morethe pedicure was last. The student only consulted the instructor to determine what hair color to use. We talked to determine what I wanted and they they went to mix up the color. During the coloring process, the instructor did a "walk by" to ask if everything was ok. Other than that, no interaction for the rest of my appointment. No consult with the instructor before, during or after the cut. The student asked what kind of cut I wanted and I said just a trim 1/2". The student cut only the ends on the bottom of my hair. She started putting heat protectant on and I asked, "are you going to trim my layers?" She started picking up my hair looking for layers. She acted like there weren't any but I have layers!! She cut a little more, didn't touch my bangs. I was frustrated and finally just said it was fine. Common sense says that the pedicure should have been done first to give ample time to dry but it was done last. Pedicure was ruined when my flip flops were put on. She "fixed" it but simply put on more polish over the lumps. My toes look like 12 year old did them. My student indicated that she would be done in 2 weeks and couldn't find a job. She also said she wanted to be dog groomer but her friends talked her into doing cosmetology. She did not seem to have a passion, skill or confidence for the work she was doing. Seemed to me she has not figured out what to do with her life so she was giving this a go. The instructor was not encouraging nor helpful to this young woman as I would expect an instructor to be. I travel alot and going to an unknown salon in an unknown town is usually a crap shoot. I will seek out a cosmetology school to get a cut and a color and have had excellent results usually because there is unwavering instructor interaction. This was not the case at Image Makers. I noticed the other students were also left to do whatever they were doing without instruction, guidance, or encouragement When making an appointment, I normally will ask for a senior student, however next time I will ask for someone who truly wants to be a hairstylist and has a passion for it. I was excited to try Image Makers, as their website indicates their high expectations for students and that I found that refreshing. Instead I left frustrated and disappointed.

That was a tremendous help, the dedication of the staff was life altering during a difficult season in my life and I was able to become fully licensed without fear and with loads of support from each staff member. The financial aid advisor made the intake process feel like a breeze and without anxiety! Which is a big one for college students ! I'm now jump starting my career and I couldn't have done it without this place and every individual involved . A very intimate learning environment and a joyous educational opportunity. I have been several times and have enjoyed my appointments!…read more Pros: The Swet studio is very clean. Rooms decorated nicely. They have a shower inside the bathroom. Tandem room is available. They have waters and clothing available for purchase. Regular tap water and plastic water cups are available for free. Cons: the walls don't reach the ceiling so sound Travels easily. The people a room next to me were talking and it sounded like they were right next to me. Unfortunately their conversation included moaning and personal details and it made it a little awkward for my friend and I to hear. We laughed it off but heads up, if you're going to talk about something personal this is not the place unless you want to broadcast it. They have ear plugs to use but it kind of makes the tandem room useless. My friend and I felt like we could talk if the other rooms were able to hear us so easily. The bathroom is a single bathroom so if you plan to shower you might feel like you need to do so quickly in case someone is waiting for the bathroom. Towels are not inside the bathroom with the shower but rather in the hallway not every close to the bathroom so make sure to grab one! Overall, I would recommend it. Just bring some music or grab a pair of earbuds if you're sensitive to other's sounds.
