Our 13 year old Diesel boy recently had a tumor that was cancerous on this throat and had surgery to remove it. Then he was able to start chemo treatments in which each week we had to come here to get his blood work done before the chemo each week. They also did his removal surgery! Thru the entire process, even before his run in with the big C word, they love and care for Diesel and our other doggy Salem dearly! They put their everything into making sure they were on top of everything throughout the whole process and listen to your concerns while also considering what is best for our furry friends. Also did you know their doctor Clay helped develop the PRP treatments for arthritis that we get every couple months and this last time we went in, I jokingly asked if they could shave a heart where they have to shave him since it takes so long for his hair to grow back, so we picked him up today and he has heart shaped booty cheeks and we are liviiiiiiing for it!!! Just to show you how much they care and listen to you and truly really care for animals. You can tell the entire family loves what they do and are passionate about it. Everybody there loves our pets and that makes us happy and feel like they are in good hands , the best hands actually! Thank you to the entire staff you guys are awesome!!!

Money is obviously the driving factor here…read more I won't get into specifics, but the final straw was them recommending a pretty large life-changing decision for my pet. I fortunately got a second opinion who also felt it was a little extreme, so we avoided the procedure and as my new vet predicted, the problem went away. I shudder thinking I almost put my pet through a major procedure for no reason. This is not the first time I have had them perform sloppy work, but definitely the biggest thing (besides euthanasia) that I've considered for my pets. Good riddance, and I'm continually surprised at how much more professional and affordable my new vet is. Further away, but worth it.

Late this week my parents' dog became really ill. They took her to their own vet clinic, but when she got progressively worse on Friday their vet clinic wasn't able to see her or offer guidance. By Saturday morning she was vomiting pools of blood. When my parents called their vet Saturday morning they were unable to get her in. They called the animal hospital and were told it would be 6-8 hours until she could be seen. I contacted you guys, and you graciously agreed to take her on as a new client and see her immediately. Your staff was patient with walking us through new client forms and helpful with getting pertinent medical information. You guys were able to get labs done on her, get some treatment started, and place a catheter. Your team then worked with the animal hospital to get her referred as a high priority patient. You all stayed past your closing time to give top notch service. Dr. Terry was able to jumpstart her diagnostic process and get her fever down. Dr. Terry was very patient and kind with giving us information about what could be going on and guidance on how to care for her until she could be admitted to the hospital. I am so thankful for your willingness to accept my parents' dog as a new patient today and for taking such good care of us during this stressful time. You all have provided so much comfort and care to my family through some difficult and scary times with our dogs. We love them immensely and are happy to have them in your care. Rushed him to an emergency clinic (over a thousand dollars later) was told it was an an abscess. Regular house call vet from Valley Center either over booked or didn't want to get dirty couldn't make a home visit (to follow up) and within 2 weeks my dog was blind. Checked on him before work and noticed he stumbled. Upset, called VC vet which "couldn't fit him in". Called Sedgwick and they made time for him. Diagnosis Lymphoma. Doc at Sedwick went above and beyond. Spent a long time explaining options, non judge mental, sat on the floor with me, consoled me. I wanted to take him home because he was stable at that time. Wanted a little more time so I took him home. He had several good days but stopped eating. Took him in today and he peacefully left this earth. A difficult, heartbreaking situation, was made easier by the compassion of the group. Hugged by staff and not made to feel guilty. Sammy is at peace and I will get there. The other clinic in town that has a treadmill leaves your dog smelling awful, so don't go there unless you want to give him two baths and still have the whole house smell funny. Countryside takes time working with your dog and showing you what to do at home, and they encourage you to stay with your dog which Hank loves. I'm so glad I found them for my sweet older boy with a degenerative spinal problem, they have given me hope when the other clinic was uncaring and cold.
