I began my morning by waking up at 9, after I was ready I stumbled across to Stricklandgate and waited a full 30 mins in the line to get in. Dead on 12 the door swung open to a "new paint" smell and to 3 members of staff eager to let us in. We all ran to be first in line but then stopped to admire the fine architecture from the tiled walls to the sandy oak wood floor, I felt welcome and the staff seemed to enjoy serving me too. Now... on to the food. I ordered the big tasty burger and I have to say it impressed me a lot, the bacon was crispy yet not over cooked, the lettuce had a distinct crunch which complemented the onions ever so well and the patty was so big I could not eat all of it and so I took some home for the dog. My one gripe with the food however was the fact that the fries lacked the crunch that I have became a custom to, but I think that may be because the oil in the fryer had been changed. I believe that McDonald's are leading the fast food industry into the future and this restaurant is one of the best I have seen so far

I have to say, im glad i did. The serving staff were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The food was slightly above the expected McDonald's quality (or perhaps the quality staff just made it seem that way?). The service was very fast and efficient. And, though several people left their tables and floor area in a terrible state while I was there, the lady cleaning the tables was so lovely, tirelessly cleaning up people's messes in spite of customers with bad manners. Seriously exceeded expectations. I'd give them 6 stars if i could. I was there just before 8pm on Tue 20 June. McDonald's ought to give the whole shift a bonus. If every McDonald's staff was as good as these guys, I'd probably become a McDonald's regular again!

Our 12 year old is now hooked on their Tandoori Butter Chicken and even wants to try other dishes now. This after years of treating curry as toxic waste. Despite recently painting the shop a rancid orange colour, Harun's remains the best takeaway in Southport for you to greedily stuff your mouth with greasy goodness in the early hours of the morning. The food there is well made and delicious albeit not particularly cheap (damn you Southport) and the staff there are friendly and will happily talk with you for hours about good Turkish footballers (believe me; it happens every week when we go). They also have a punching machine in there (perhaps to curb the violent enthusiasm of the Southport residents) which causes much hilarity at three in the morning when my mates decide to show each other who can hit something the hardest. Review of McDonald's in Barrow, Clitheroe…read more Poor. When I say Poor, I mean poor even by the standards of a fast food restaurant. Ordering at the drive-thru is like pulling teeth and you'll nearly always be asked to park up and told that they're cooking your food fresh and will bring it out when it's ready. (Don't they always cook your food from fresh or am I being silly???) Anyway, they will hand you any drinks or ice cream before you move away from the window, which I've now realised, isn't the best idea in the world. I say this because they often take so long to bring out your food that milkshakes and McFlurry's can have turned to milk whilst you're waiting. For this reason, I'd suggest you ask them to bring out drinks and ice-cream fresh with your food. When they do arrive with your food, I'd also strongly suggest you check the contents of the bag before driving off as they regularly give you the wrong food or will have missed out something that's already been ordered and paid for. I find they are not too bad during the week when managers are on duty and working the shop floor. However, weekends are something else altogether. I would imagine weekends to be the busiest times for McDonalds yet there are few managers working so service tends to be absolutely appalling. An example of how naff they can be at weekends is when I once opened a chicken sandwich and found the top half of my bun was missing. I kid you not. It was just a chicken fillet with mayo and salad balancing precariously on top of one piece of bread....
