You do have to obviously provide your paystub to show your income and knowing how much I get paid, I thought she'd understand what I was reaching for. Come to find out it was for a payday loan to pay off the whole amount next check. I was completely mislead and given the wrong info. I was very clear yet somehow she misunderstood me. Obviously when dealing with money, it's not a game to toy with. I called to speak to the manager and she just didn't remotely comprehend anything I said. She wanted to blame me 100% and not hold her own employee accountable. I thought the employees were there to be knowledgeable and not pretty much prey on people who don't get loans out much or often. Manager and her employee lack professionalism. Nobody should come here at all. I can see why this place has bad reviews. Makes sense! She advised me if you have the app you can transfer funds from your bank directly to your prepaid card. No one else told me this, so i was happy she mentioned it. It will definitely save time in the future. They have a Flare pre-paid card thats $9.95 a month and $3.95 to load money each time. I like using the card for online purchases and paying bills. But seriously, at minimum of $14 a month it may not be worth it. Thats kinda pricey... But they offer several other services as well. Check cashing, bill payments, prepaid cards, and etc. The representative was nice and informative. She was honest and i appreciate Krystal telling me what i needed to know.. My boyfriend went to get a loan and Kim, the lady who was working that day,…read moredecided she wanted a more recent utility bill, so we ask if she would stay open until we got back with one, and she said she was going to close earlier then the posted time. We then asked if it would be worth it to go across town to get one then come back and try again, she replied with I don't know, but since we wanted to get an attitude (she was the only one with an attitude, by the way) she was going to deny us. Without reasoning, she denied us, I honestly believe she was racist (I'm a white female, my boyfriend a black male, and she was a black female) and then proceeded to call the cops to make us leave after telling us we couldn't have her name or her managers name or number. This company's motto is "over 25 years of respect, integrity, service, & excellence," all we found was ignorance, attitude, and the worst service I have ever had in any type of store.

The Flare card they offer cost $9.95 per month which i wasn't aware of. But i was aware theres a $3.95 charge everytime you load money.. I've had prepaid cards in the past that weren't this expensive. So i don't know how long i will keep it. But it does the job. If you want to have your check direct deposited on the card, they may waive that $9.95 fee. They have a few different style cards you can choose from. They also offer payday loans and bill payments there . If you come in behind someone applying for a loan it could be a longer wait, like 10-15 minutes, sometimes longer. But I'm normally in and out in 6 minutes or so just to reload a card. The cashiers that work there are nice and the store is clean. Besides all the fees associated, I'm ok with this Ace location and the service they offer..
