It's not a mall in the sense that there are chain stores located within, but it's a mall when you consider that there are local stores. This place spans anywhere from a half a block to a block. With this building it includes, I believe, the building next to it and possibly the one next to that. It's a nice little mix of small town business. From what I gathered, and no there is no directory, they have a banquet type room to hold parties (the day I was there they were about to hold a painting party), a book store, a handmade craft store, vitamin shop and a cafe. The floors above seem to hold offices for businesses and medical needs. It's quaint and unique, that is for sure.

When I got home I followed up and talked to another manager and he said something was not right about the way I was treated and agreed to help me out. That was about 2 weeks ago and after talking to him several times, he promised me to make things right. As of today, two weeks later nothing had been done! I even emailed Corporate and they never replied! Not a good experience. They don't seem to care about either their customers or the accuracy of their boot prices!

And I was never left unattended in any department without someone offering to help with a smile. The only regret was that the grand piano, a staple of Von Maur stores, was not in play due to them opting for the DJ in its place. Never fear, the grand piano is present, though. I came here, one, because I was in the area; two, because why not. I walked in with just one thing on my mind and ended up walking out with several other things that I did not intend to buy at all. Your simple Target twist in effect. The store itself was clean, well lit and organized. When it came to finding help, it was sparse. I walked around for several minutes until I found the area I needed to be in. And when I finally did get to that point I found multiple employees clustered there, ironic, just a bit. Speaking of the employees, they aren't always the kindest people to deal with. But it is retail and I know all too well how that can go when working retail.

Clearfield Square (formerly Clearfield Mall) is a strip mall with an enclosed walkway. It's easy to…read morefind being off of both U.S. 322 and Route 879. It's anchored by one of the best Ollie's I've ever seen that has been recently upgraded and a better than average Goodwill. The interior has a few other businesses, including two that keep it busy, the PennDOT Driver License Center and the Fine Wine & Good Spirits state liquor store. Clearfield is in the middle of upgrades and being repositioned. The enclosed walkway is very dated and most owners would have it removed, but that's not possible due to the buildings design. Roses discount store is going to replace the former JCPenney, which looks to be a good addition. Several vacant storefronts need to be filled and a few could be merged together. Several other businesses are located outside of the mall including AutoZone and Harbor Freight. The Long John Silver's is a more modern location and clean. Overall, Clearfield Square is well positioned as a local's mall. It's not going to attract people from outside the area, but will be useful for those who live in and around Clearfield.

The store wasn't very busy at that time, but it was late at night so that might of been why. I was impressed by their wide selection of items and products. A lot more than other Walmart's. My boyfriend spent a long time in the tool section and was impressed by their selection. Also, the store was very clean for a Walmart. I will definitely drive the extra few miles the next time I am in the area and need to go to Walmart.
