However, I was accommodated greatly and enjoyed the spa services just as much! Came here on a whim-- we were staying at the hotel and decided to get massages. They had room almost immediately (which was awesome for a Sunday). We had access to a hot tub, showers, and saunas. The place was very cozy and staff were all nice. I received the Mama Serenity massage, since I am 7 months pregnant. It was amazing!! I always say that if I am relaxed and comfortable enough to nearly fall asleep while a stranger massages me, it's must be a good massage. (I definitely caught myself falling asleep). My only complaint was that the showers were a bit dirty, and I'm not sure how often those are checked. But it was nice to rinse off after the massage and I just showered at the hotel after to be extra clean. Overall it was a great experience! read more

I flew in from Florida to celebrate my wedding anniversary, I booked a couples deep tissue massage. One of the masseuse was named Michelle. She was not friendly at all. She gave my husband his massage certain areas on my husband's body like his feet his hands were completely neglected. He stated she was very lazy as she would massage she would stop and just leave her hand in that area without moving it, the spa certainly needs to be updated. One of the sauna rooms were out of order. The shower was not very clean There are a lot of places to choose from in this area. I would steer away from this one. We have been customers and regular visitors for years at Harrahs and Harvey's, Lake Tahoe. We walked in and my husband desperately needed a massage. She says nothing and doesn't even bother to look up. It's laughable, it's so ridiculous. This isn't Las Vegas or Pebble Beach, both of which we were treated like gold. And you're paying top Dollar for this hideous treatment at the front desk. I went in today with my wife for a couples massage for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We're locals, business owners and home owners in South Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately all I heard was really good things about this place and we went in for our massages and they were not a couples massage in the same room, we were separated and my wife apparently had a normal massage. My experience was very different, I didn't get any verbal indications from my massage therapist whatsoever as far as if the pressure was too much or too little literally no Direction at all about anything. We added on a hand and foot scrub when we made the reservation where my foot scrub took approximately 3 minutes total and never got my hand scrubbed at all. I don't think it's my job to have to educate them on what was on their ticket for the day or that session. We paid for 2 80 minute massages we came out of pocket over $600 including tips and my massage was lacking pretty much all the stuff you'd want. The middle of my back was never even touched my chest was never touched to my shoulders and biceps and never touch my quads and hamstrings also never massaged whatsoever. This is my first ever massage and I definitely will not be going back to this place. The only relaxation that I got was from the steam room and the jacuzzi that you get in the spot area that's complimentary when you get a massage. This was one of the weakest massages I have ever received. Not sure if she was a day or two out of massage school but she had no idea what she was doing. The whole massage was effleurage even though I asked several times for more pressure. Pretty much just rubbed lotion on my skin for 80 minutes. Way too expensive to have crappy therapists. Furthermore her notifications on her phone weren't turned off and it chimed several times! Started late. Ended early. Pretty much everything you can do poorly... she made sure and nailed that. Now I am waiting for my friend to be done with her massage and they are openly bagging on clients out loud in the reception area. Super unacceptable. I am a local. I drive for lyft and uber. People often ask me for recommendations and I will tell everyone to steer clear. I just had the most atrocious experience at the Reflections Spa in Harrahs. Let's start with the fact that the afternoon before my treatment they called to push my appointment back 15 mins. Okay, no big deal, I can do that. Add on to that the experience when I showed up this morning. Got there at 9:30am for 11:45am treatment. Attendant came out to great the 3 of us and take us to the back. She repeatedly messed up what we told her - robe and slide sizes, refreshments, etc. She then walked us through and told us she would turn the sauna and wet spa on but she did not. We sat in the dinky hot tub (which like the rest of the facilities are antiquated) for about 45 mins and only found out it wasn't on when we then went to use them. I had to ask the front desk to turn them on. No one, once, during the course of the over 2.5 hours I was there ever checked on us. Then we went into the 'lounge' room if you could call it that and discovered that 1/2 the fruit in the bowl was rotten. I had to go tell the front desk about that which leads me to believe they don't check it often at all. It's food, you have to make sure it's still good. The final straw, I was sitting there until noon - 15 mins passed my revised appt with still no therapist in sight. When I went out to cancel the appt because I was 30 mins passed my original booking they then went in search of my therapist. After I explained that I just wanted it cancelled they fortunately honored my request but as I was walking out and told them 'no thank you' too their offer to come back, the receptionist actually said 'God Bless You.' If that wasn't the most condescending thing you could say - especially after no apology - I don't know what is. read more

This used to be one of my favorite spa in Tahoe. The 50 mins massage is now $200 and they automatically gave themselves 20 percent gratuity which is $40. I don't mind paying that much if the service was excellent. However, my attendant didn't ask me if I wanted anything to drink and I had trouble finding someone to help turn on the jacuzzi and steam room. The sauna was not working. The toiletries that was offered was cheap for what you are paying for. I was really disappointed in my massage. There was no pressure and it just seems like she was rubbing lotion on me the entire time. A good chunk of my massage was spent repositioning me under the drape. I will now go and look for a different spa whenever I'm in Tahoe. read more

We have been coming to this Spa for 15 plus years. It has gone extremely downhill. First of all, the front desk girl was not knowledgeable about anything. Just sat and quietly mumbled behind her mask. The hot tub and steam room were not working and apparently have been broken for months. The white carpet is super stained and the showers had mold and hair in them ( see photo ). They used to have a nice waiting lounge, but they have taken away the stools to put your feet up to relax. They only have chairs now. Their non alcohol drinks have been reduced to water and cranberry juice. They only provide one hair dryer now, so if you come in with a group you have to wait and take turns. I am embarrassed that I paid so much for such a dump. The only reason I gave 2 stars was for the massage therapist, who was excellent and friendly. Good Luck if you choice this place. read more

Wonderful island of serenity amidst casino madness. First of all - unlike the rest of the casino and hotel, the spa smells neutrally wonderful. Staff is very courteous. The surrounding is soothing. My husband and I went in to get separate Swedish massage services, had different therapists in separate rooms - and our impressions of very thorough, quality, courteous service in really nice contemporary rooms matched. My massage therapist was knowledgeable, asked me of my lifestyle and specific trouble areas I wanted to work on, checked with me for pressure, and really worked my body. That was literally the worst experience of my life. First off, the amenities are that of a YMCA. The jacuzzi had black hair floating around and the sauna was broken. I booked an 80 min deep tissue couples massage. My "therapist" didn't ask me a single question, she didn't check in at all. She didn't drape me, she either reached down the covers to access my butt (which made me very uncomfortable) or just flipped up the cover. She kept going back over the same spots.....and it was as if someone was rubbing in moisturizer, at one point she was actually sitting on a stool at my feet and rubbing my foot with one finger. I genuinely looked up to see if she was falling asleep. When I turned over she covered half my face with the blanket, she put the eye cover on but immediately knocked it off as she pet my arm for the 17th time and didn't notice bc she didn't pay attention to what she was doing. She left actually scratch marks on my arm. At check out I complained to the nervous 20year old about this. She said she would give me 10% off meanwhile they add 21% gratuity to your bill without approval. She explained there's nothing she can do bc the manager was off. I demanded to see the therapists license bc it was so insanely bad. Insult to injury, this was meant to be a gift from my boyfriend, they couldn't run his card given while booking the app, or allow tap to pay, so I had to pay it, which came to $680!!!!! Had a wonderful well needed massage on my trip! After a day of skiing and waking up to aches the next day Marvina helped release some of the tightness and body aches. The massage was not too strong and not too soft it was just right. I would recommend her if you were booking a massage. Let me start off by saying this was not my first trip to a day spa, nor was it my first massage. I have been to several amazing day spas and enjoyed many massages, but this was by far the worst I have ever experienced. My husband and I visit Tahoe several times a year and on this trip we decided to get a couples massage. This was our first visit to Reflections. The separate locker rooms with jacuzzi were fine, nothing amazing, but the massages were a huge disappointment. First off I expected our 50 min massages would be around $120pp, but they were actually double that price and a 21% service fee was added on. We asked if this was the gratuity and they said yes, but why am I being forced to give 21% when our massages were sub par? I wonder how much of that fee actually goes to the massage therapists? Anyway, both our massage therapists were nice, but it seemed like they were both new or just not very good at their jobs because neither one of us got a good massage. My massage therapist was all over the place and didn't seem to know quite what she was doing. I had to ask her many times to ease up on her pressure, but she struggled to do that. Several months before this we got a couples massage in Calistoga, CA at an amazing day spa which also gave us access to 5 mineral pools and we had amazing massages and paid half the price! I'm not sure who Harrah's thinks they are, but their spa is not anywhere near the prices they are charging and especially with sub par massage therapists. We will never return to this spa unless some major changes happen. So sad too because we love staying at Harrah's & Harveys while at the Lake. read more

$75 SWEDISH MASSAGE One of the most expensive activities in a casino/ hotel is getting a massage. The price of these massages at these locations is similar to Michelin Star or fine dining yet I'm not eating but getting a massage. Three Thursdays ago I noticed a sign for special that day only - $75 for a Swedish massage and other types of massages. That sounds expensive but the regular price for this type of massage is $125. I was hoping to get a deep tissue massage for that same price however deep tissue massage was not offered for that special price that day. My massage therapist stated that a Swedish Massage is a gentle pressure massage. The main difference between that massage and deep tissue is that deep tissue massage is an intense pressure massage. I usually have deep tissue massages as those are my preferences. I never had a Swedish massage but for $75 I decided to get one. My massage therapist was right it wasn't an intense pressure massage however it was a relaxing type of massage. There were times I almost fell asleep during the one hour session. I did feel relaxed after the massage. This facility also has a sauna and a jacuzzi that you can go to before your massage. If there's a discount for other massages again when I'm at Tahoe I don't think I would go back however if there's a discount for a deep tissue massage at Reflections The Spa I definitely would come back here again. read more

I am SOOOO relaxed right now, I could fall asleep!! I literally just got back from an amazing massage. So after 3 days of snowboarding, it was time to relax my muscles! The prices in South Lake Tahoe for massages typically run around $80 for an hour. Well, Reflections is currently having a special - $89 for a 50 min Swedish Massage. It is typically $125! Another perk is that is located in Harrah's - we are currently staying in Harvey's which is connected to Harrah's. The bf and I were able to get an appointment the very same day for the same time. They have separate men's and women's changing area. They give you a locker with key, robe, and slippers (they even ask for your size!) There is even an attendant who will get you whatever you need - water, towels, etc. She was attentive but still gave me the right amount of space so I could enjoy myself. My massage therapist's name was Carol. She applied the perfect amount of pressure. However... when she massaged my arm, she would plop on the side of the table which startled me. She was a little rough when putting my arm back under the blanket. Oh well... she definitely put me in a daze. Loved it! Afterwards, I hung out in the women's area which has a jacuzzi and sauna. I took 2 showers! Yes, I said it - 2! One after my massage so I could rest in the jacuzzi and after I got in to the sauna. I got to blow dry my hair, brush it with a sterilized brush, straighten my hair with straightener, apply face moisturizer and body lotion, AND applied a spray deodarant. They also have hair spray and mousse. Wow! I was in there for another good hour. While I was in the women's area, the attendant would periodically check on me. She helped me out by passing messages to the bf and told him I would be taking my time in the women's area. I really appreciated that. When I was finally done, I met the bf out in the reception area. He had a pleasant experience as well but unfortunately, his massage therapist talked to him the entire time!!! Oh no!!!!! I felt so bad... I told him he should've just told her he enjoyed his massages in silence but he doesn't normally get massages. Soooo... word of advice - if you get a massage therapist named Jenna, just tell her to hush up! You should tell any massage therapist for that matter. read more

Absolutely five mother effin' stars. My friend and I went to Tahoe for a spa trip and picked this spa for some pampering. After trekking you way through the smoke filled casino, you are surprised that this little oasis is steps away from 3 card poker. We immediately could smell lavender in the air. With its cushy seats, beautiful fabrics... we knew that we were in for a treat. We were greeted by our attendant, given our locker keys, which were more like wood cabinets with locks and also had our robes hanging inside. Stripped down to our skin and slipped on our robes, we walked by a H-U-G-E bathroom/sink area that had about 10 sections with blow dryers curling irons, grooming products, just like at home. Except I don't have granite counter tops and glowing light that flatters my complexion. The cords around the hair appliances were so neatly wrapped.... I was in cord heaven. ... I'm a stickler about how my cords are stored. Oh... the salon. My CMT's name was Nikki and she has been doing this for 23 years. Her hands were amazing. She added some acupressure to my deep tissue action. The oil was a little too warm. But my little room was so soothing... the lighting, the temp, the aroma. My massage ended too soon. But it was enough, I guess. Our attendant fetched me from the sitting room with my lemon ice water and took me to a shower waiting for me. She had aveda products in cute little dishes in the shower for me. The shower gel was so luxurious! The whole special part to me was being able to get the oil out of my hair and sitting in the grooming area with all of the cords perfectly wrapping the hair dryers. The best part of my trip? Coming home to my husband doing laundry. You see, he RARELY does the laundry. GAWD I love that man! read more

Based on my one and only spa experience to date, I give them 4 stars. My husband's boss's wife, took me and one of my friends here the morning of my wedding last year. I had never been to a spa before so I wasn't really sure what to expect. I was told that I had an appointment with Pierre...Pierre? Okay....um...I got a little uncomfortable at the thought of another man rubbing me down the morning I was to say my marital vows so...I opted to trade my friend for the lady she was assigned to. That was a wee little mistake apparently. I don't remember her name but I know that she talked....and talked.....and talked....and talked some more. Now like I said, it was my first spa experience so I'm not sure the proper protocol but...aren't you supposed to be relaxed and silent? Don't get me wrong, I am a really friendly person so when she talked to me, I talked back...but the more I thought of it after I left...this cost $165??? At least I didn't pay for it. Besides her talking, she could have massaged a little deeper...it left something to be desired. After the massage and body wrap, I sat in a sauna for several minutes, drank lots of ice cold lemon water, and took one of the most refreshing showers of my life. I felt energized for the busy, stressful day ahead. When I met up with my friend and husbands bosses wife after the massages...I was told Pierre was FABULOUS! It would've been my first experience ever, I've never received a massage or have done any relaxation amenities before. I had no problem with paying the price. I was beyond excited for this. I had an appt at 10:00 am and went to check in and adjust my massage to a couples one. However, I was not on the books and they told me the soonest they could get me in was 12:30. I don't have all day and plan to leave because we have a 2 and a half hour + commute back home. An older women had great customer service skills, however the younger person with her didn't seem to have a care in the world. She didn't even acknowledge the fact we came in. Very unwelcoming experience. There were no apologies made, and lack of understanding my point of view wasn't there. It's already expensive to book a room here with all the other expensive amenities. They get booked quick. The fact that they're in Tahoe and located inside harrahs casino means they're pricey. They take you to lockers like a cheap gym. 3 other women changing, lady who brought me back says you can change here or in the bathroom (stall). I change head to waiting room. Room is full. I stand until someone is called back. I wasn't offered tea or anything. Massage was great but stones were not used often. When fished lady walks you back to locker room tells you to drink lots of water and says have a good day. Front desk checks you out, very friendly asks if I would like a water and tells me the facility is available to use for the rest of the day. What facility? They didn't show me around. Both were just mediocre and over priced, but I knew the over-priced bit going into it, so no one to blame but myself. But here is the kicker... The massage ended 15 minutes early. When I asked about it, they said since I got my hands and feet massaged during the 'massage' portion, they weren't going to do it again during the facial. OK... but I actually paid for a massage (full price) and facial (full price), so what gives? When I asked to speak to the manager, they told me to complain downstairs at the lobby. So I went down to the lobby and asked to speak to someone, they told me to fill out a comment card. And I did. And never heard back. Not only did they lose me as a customer at the spa, but they also lost me as a customer at the casino. read more

Had a great massage, but strange locker room experience. The attendant was too attendant; in fact, she was annoying and ruined my relaxation time. She barged into the sauna, steam room, hot tub, wherever I was, every 5 minutes--NOT an exaggeration--asking if I wanted to move on to a different ammenity. LEAVE ME ALONE!!! Plus, she seemed troubled that I did not want to follow the pattern she had established: first you must use the steam room, then the sauna, then the hot tub, then you shower. When I went back and forth between the ammenities, she acted like I was breaking the rules or something. Other than my mom, there was no one else using the facilities, so I dont know what the problem or rush was. Plus, she wanted to help me disrobe and put a towel around me before going into the steam room, which was just plain weird. As for the facilities, they are run down. The hot tub is labled a "roman bath," but it is actually a small acrylic tub with mildewy grout that has been regrouted several times instead of properly cleaned. There is nothing spa-like about it, more like a rehab center for oldsters. Another major annoyance was the gross misinformation the manager gave us, which I think was on purpose. When we booked our appointments, in person, a massage therapist was about to hand out on the casino floor cards for 20% off her massage services. When we asked for one, we were initially denied, saying that we had already booked our services. Then we asked for the coupon for a future massage. The manager said, sure, and gave us the coupon, but when we called later that day to book a massage, they said the therapist would be out the rest of the time we were there. That's total BS. I would not go back. Too bad, because the massage was excellent. read more

Beeboo's first spa experience... and it was awesome. Being totally waited on hand and foot, I felt like a goddess among mortals. There were only a few other people around, so I had the steamroom, dry sauna and jacuzzi to myself during my complimentary hour to use these facilities before my 50-minute massage. I was totally eucalyptus'ed out with the salt scrub, the lotion, the aromatics in the wet sauna, the product in the massage oils. My attendant would come by and make sure I was happy with everything at just the right moments. I never had to ask for a cran refill or an extra towel or more conditioner. I also am pretty shy when it comes to nakey-time with strangers. The first time it came time for me to be ushered to another place, I guess my attendant noticed my hesitation to bare all, so she would get my robe from the wall and say gently, "just back right into the towel, and we'll go right on to the next room-- you're going to be enjoying a ..." Well played, and after a while I was strutting all over the place. Nakey. I chose the luxury massage. My masseur was very expert and spoke in very hushed tones. I walked out feeling like the weight of the world was lifted off my shoulders. and back. and my ass. annd my thighs and calves. It was a tough transition back into the smokey, loud, harshly lit casino but I felt like a stack of shiny black chips for the rest of the day. read more

I was surprised by how nice the facilities were at this spa! I went with a friend and called ahead to confirm that there would be a place for us to hang out before and after our treatments. They have a jacuzzi, steam room, and sauna. An attendant was very helpful in moving us along from each facility to the next, but I would have felt comfortable telling her we'd like to stay in any of the spots. She brought us tea and water and made sure we were comfortable. After using those facilities, we were offered a yummy smelling scrub to use in the shower before our services. I wouldn't say the spa is super fancy like a spa in a big Las Vegas hotel, but it was certainly updated and well maintained. The services were great, too - we both had massages and express facials. I was a little annoyed at the attempt to upsell me during the facial, but once I said I was not interested, she dropped it. They used Dermalogica products for the facial and the treatment rooms were nice, with heated tables to lie on and modern decorations. The only reasons I didn't give it five stars are (1) the area for getting ready was a little outdated looking, with only one blow dryer and lower quality hair care products and (2) the tipping system was strange - you have to make sure to separately tip the attendant and the massage therapist by filling out two little boxes on the check out form. In short: A high-quality feeling day spa atmosphere and hot tub to relax in while waiting for your friends in the casino, but expensive for the quality of services. Should you try it? Yes, but only if I'm in the area, and only for access to the hot tub or maybe try a deep tissue massage, and only if I have extra $$$. (Swedish massage was ehhhh). Ambience: Lovely and upscale looking. It was quiet and I loved the dimmed relaxation room. Service: Everyone was nice, and the attendant was helpful but a little bit overbearing. I wasn't too fond of my Swedish massage, as she didn't do any targeted work at all. I didn't expect her to go deep (like a deep tissue) but I always expect my masseuse to work out the kinks in my muscles at least a little bit. This massage was just way too generic. I bought a package for my wife and she loved every minute of her massage! They allowed her to use the steam room, hot tub, shower, the whole nine with her package! They even booked her a nail appointment down below directly after her treatment. When she came back, she looked so relaxed and she said it was an awesome experience there! Don't hesitate, just go! OK, (5-star + 3-star) /2 = 4-star 5-star: The spa is awesome! great staff and attendants, you don't need to ask for anything, you just think about it and there you go, it is prepared for you!! The best place to get pampered, I love their spa: clean, good products, prompt service, etc. 3-star: The massage, with respect to all care I've got up to the massage room this experience doesn't quite fit properly. My massage lady was so serious and kina grumpy. I thought I am not welcomed in her room, I don't know, I think I waste my money. Nothing special at all!!
