Even if you immediately fall in love with the service and ambience at Refeneria, it ends up to be a kind of a disappointment. The starters are quite good (I've tried at least three of the half dozen starters on the menu) the grilled provolone cheese being the best. But from your starter on you'd probably feel that brilliant first impression starts to fade away...
Maybe if you choose to eat at Refineria you should stick to the "parrilla" option; I've heard that it's the best they offer.
Be sure to sit inside if you don't like mosquito bites or the smell of mosquito repellent mixing with your food.
All in all, the place is lovely and the service is very good but their food, unfortunately, is not as good as their service or ambiance. Don't get me wrong, the food is far from bad, but it's just not good enough. read more
