During the past 11 years, one of the managers on the feed side of the store, Lacy, was nothing short of a stellar employee, from my perspective. She was always friendly, personable, knowledgeable and professional. Recently, I went into buy some more feed (a weekly event) and was told that Lacy had been let go from the store. I don't purport in any way to be a human resource person, or to tell Reeves how they should be running their operations. I'm also not pretending to have the expertise on matters of who they should hire or fire. However, from my perspective, the Reeves family's HR department made a HUGE mistake by letting Lacy go! 98% of my reason for doing business with this store on a repeat basis for the past 11 years, was because of Lacy and her willingness to always help me along with her friendly "HELLO!" every time I came in the store. From my perspective, the Reeves family has lost a huge asset by letting Lacy go. For that reason, I will no longer support doing business with the Reeves feed and seed store in Clayton, Georgia. I always try to support the local small businesses in my area, rather than doing business with the bigger box stores. I'm going to start going down the street to Tractor Supply and buy the same feed for my animals, starting immediately.
