We got there after lunch-time and the young man who was working the restaurant told us that every Wednesday they feature Kumlas and that there were still some available. We asked what they are and he explained that a Kumla is a Norwegian Dumpling. They sounded good and since we were on vacation we decided to try them. They are REALLY GOOD!! It did satisfy my urge to try the various conch dishes, and discovered that it can get quite dry and chewy, even if prepared well. Very similar to clam strips, I suppose, just not as flavorful. It is all outdoor seating here, and even though it was shaded with ceiling fans, it was still warm and humid outside so we would have taken indoor seating if possible. We were greeted by Nancie, and directed to a table for four (so plenty of space). She asked if we wanted sparkling water, so I redirected and asked for ice water, which she reconfirmed as being tap (which was fine...the potable water in this area is from desalination using reverse osmosis). Changed my mind multiple times here, finally decided to get a conch sampler ($38), french fries 9$5) and a local beer (I Soon Reach Light) in a bottle for $7. The place has free password-less wifi which worked well, so used to pass the time while the food was being prepared. Most of the dishes in the sampler was deep fried, and it was prepared well, but made it a bit too greasy as a main course. My wife liked the light beer, going well with the fried foods. The fries were not great, not fried enough. In the sampler: the conch fritters (basically hush puppies) were OK; the crispy conch wontons used the same batter as the fritter except wrapped in a shell and wasn't great; cracked conch was good, lightly battered and deep fried well; coconut cracked conch (much preferred the original instead); and conch ceviche (good, but smallest of the bunch and the conch had not been tenderized so a bit tough). Would probably get the ceviche and cracked if I had to choose. It also came with 3 different dipping sauces, which added a bit more flavor to the various conch dishes. Payment was done at the table, and automatically included the government mandated 12% tax and 10% service charge. Gave an additional tip on top of that as well. I brought most of the conch back home, and Nancie helped me wrap it up. It ended up being a good accessory to the Shin ramen that I had for lunch over multiple, subsequent days.

I received my drink with smeared lipstick from the previous customer still on the rim which was honestly gross and immediately killed my appetite. The crab dip itself was decent, but the chips served with it were stale and tasted like they'd been reheated in old oil. For the price point, that's unacceptable. My girlfriend did enjoy her salmon and the rum punch, so not everything was bad, but overall the restaurant was just meh at best. For $116, I expected a much cleaner and higher quality dining experience. Wouldn't return.

Pie selection is phenomenal and all homemade, I had the sour cream and raisin-delicious. Rest Rooms are exceptionally clean 4 cheese quiche with fresh salad and homemade roll, love the homemade pickle garnish-Unbelievable. Meatball Sandwich with pasta coleslaw is fantastic. Worth going out of your way for.

We had the chicken bacon ranch wrap, and at first bite it was amazing. The pasta salad with it was great, but then.....the pie. The owner said, you have to try the Juneberry pie. My mouth will forever love me for agreeing. I had never had it before, and now I just may travel again from New York just for the pie!!!!

If you're arriving at lunchtime, you can take advantage of their sandwich bar. You can choose from fresh baked buns or croissants and make your own sandwich. Toppings include sandwich meat, egg & chicken salads, tomatoes, cucumbers, pickles, lettuce, jalapenos, onions, etc... They also have taco salad shells if you want to make a taco salad with their taco meat. I'm not sure if that one is offered daily or not. They charge you by weight. I had a turkey pastrami sandwich one a wonderful bun. There is a selection of chips or cookies that you can add to your lunch as well. Obviously they do well as the place was busy for breakfast and lunch times.
