This is my honest experience as a parent who sent two boys to Central Christian. We eventually…read moremoved to public school and are looking for a new private option, but I want families to understand what they may encounter here. The school advertises a broad Christian mix, but the culture leans strongly conservative Baptist. Young earth creationism is taught as fact, including the belief that the Earth is about six thousand years old. Mainstream scientific evidence is often dismissed, which may be difficult for families who value a different balance between faith and science. On a positive note, the teachers were consistently kind and genuinely caring with my kids, and that deserves acknowledgment. As a parent of two boys who play sports, I also want to credit the school for working hard to build and improve their athletic programs and facilities. Their sports culture has real enthusiasm behind it and continues to develop. Some of the administration, however, carried an elitist church clique attitude. Acceptance sometimes felt tied to whether you shared their specific beliefs, and if you did not, the disapproval was noticeable. There is also a very strong political presence. As a lifelong Republican, I was unsettled by the extreme MAGA influence and the bro church culture on campus. One prominent influencer in the school community is connected to the Greater Idaho movement, which may matter to parents who prefer a less politicized environment for their children. Communication was another challenge. One front office secretary was frequently curt and sometimes openly rude, which is disappointing when parents are paying tuition and donating time and resources. I have met other parents who share these concerns, as well as two teachers who quietly expressed similar thoughts about the overall culture. The benefit of private education is being able to find a school that fits your family. Central Christian was not the right fit for us, but it may be for you. I strongly encourage researching carefully, asking direct questions, and making sure the school's culture aligns with your values before enrolling.

The staff is friendly and helpful every time, Mrs. Rocco was our daughter's kindergarten teacher last year and I couldn't be more happy and comfortable with having my baby be in her care. We absolutely love that our children will hear about Jesus and Gods love for us!
