was here 2 weeks ago with my husband, we spotted 4 bar height chairs, good condition and the price was 4x 35.00, great bargain, unfortunately they wouldn't fit in our car. We didn't get them. Yesterday I went back with my sister hoping they would still be there. They were minus 2, but I did grab the 2 they had. Now tell me why they still wanted to charge me the 35 dollars, when on the leg it clearly was written 4x 35.00, and they refused to mark them down. Said they couldn't. If they were not allowed to be separated why were only 2 still there. It's already a second hand store. What did the other 2 cost, it's ridiculous. So now you can't make a sale on them at all. I did really want them but I'm not being charged for something I'm not receiving..Cashier got manager and she told me the same thing. Make this make sense. We had a pickup scheduled for 3/13/26. When the truck arrived, my wife looked out the window and asked me where it was going? I went outside and the box truck was buried in the front lawn. When the tow truck finally arrived to pull him out it tore the lawn up some more. No sorry, someone will get in touch nothing. Over a week later still no contact. I don't post any reviews unless I feel very strongly about something . This thrift store used to be amazing... great finds that made you feel happy when you walked out the door. I was just in there today and it has gotten so mediocre and it's so unfortunate. First off, they switched the entire store around. They did this a while ago but now it just seems more disorganized even for a thrift store. They don't have the same quality of merchandise, and I left there with nothing. Each time I would walk in there there in the past it was a certainty that I would come out with some sort of treasure that I found. I went down the entire row of women's denim jeans and there was not one- I repeat not one pair of designer Jeans in that whole row. No seven for all mankind no citizens no anything. Whoever's managing this store over the past year or so has done a disservice to the store. Me and my friends have been coming here for years and years and it makes me sad to say that it's just gone so downhill. Suggestions would be stop changing the way that things worked before -I can imagine that you're only as good as what is donated, but how could there be absolutely no designers in any of the rows that I went through- dresses, blouses, sweaters, something tells me they're sending the better quality or designer merchandise elsewhere. I have frequented this store on numerous occasions. AND EACH TIME, I have encountered rude, UNPLEASANT staff members. I feel anxious prior to entering as I contemplate whether I will encounter someone rude who might ruin my positive mood. I try to convince myself that this visit will be unlike the others. However, it consistently is not. Recently, I was reading reviews for this store, and a significant number of customers shared similar sentiments. The owners clearly do not care. It remains a profitable venture regardless. Forget about asking to use the restroom; they become quite annoyed. read more

This was my first visit to Red White and Blue Thrift. I saw it on social media and we were in the area, so we dropped in. It was great! The selection is amazing. The prices were very good. Very reasonable. It was clean and organized. If you are looking for clothes, give yourself plenty of time. Everything is arranged by color, not size. Pretty to look at, but you need to really pick through each and every piece. Lots of nice stuff - some nice brand names too. The housewares areas are on top of the clothes racks. Lots of nice treasures to be had. My friends got a paper towel holder $1.99, a golf ball retriever and one of those heavy desk tape holder/dispenser. If you're in the area, or driving down rt 84, it's worth a detour to visit the Red White and Blue Thrift store. read more

It's really big, lots to sort through. Good inventory and good pricing. However, the clothing is sorted by color, not size which makes me bonkers. I would find a shirt I loved and it wouldn't be my size. I stuck to mostly other things, besides the clothing. read more

By far the best thrift store I've been to in proximity to Westchester. It's chaotic but in the best way. There is so much to go through I was there for 6 hours and found probably 30 or more items I wanted to take home with me and I'm picky. I can go through a whole thrift store normally in 2 hours or so and come out with 3 things. The only annoying thing is the racks are so tight it's difficult to see the cloths. Service was fine. I vibed with the workers and the crowd lol. Wish they had dressing rooms but I'm sure that would be a nightmare too. Overall would highly recommend the place if you like thrifting. RWB used to be a fun place to shop and occasionally find a treasure but since they were sold it is a disaster. First the prices are insanely high, mdse spends so much time on the floor that it gets damaged. The floor layout is terrible hard goods are on top of clothing racks so you are competing for space to look. The music is NOT appropriate for children shopping with parents and is very repetitive and LOUD!! Staff do not seem happy working there. I used to shop there once a week but now I may only shop once a month And spend far less when I am there because of the prices. You can do better at Homegoods or even the Amazon return store next door. read more

If you had asked me even a year ago I would have given this five stars. I've been coming to RWB when it was at its old location. But in the past few months the resellers are ruining this place. They stand by the door and stalk all of the women bringing things out and then jump on whatever they put down. It's the same group and they all know each other. I have been looking for a nice little painting to put on my wall but there's no way-these resellers are always there. And it doesn't matter what day of the week or what time a day I go, there they are. I know there's nothing anyone can do about it- a customer is a customer but it sure is turning off this long term customer. read more

This place used to be fantastic. Prices have risen. Colors on sale are never to be found. The staff goes through all items and gets first dibs for purchase. Also the staff is always making you move out of their way. So annoying. There no place to go. Customers should not have to move. On buying the items. Watch Out for bagged items. i brought coloring books for my children. They were already colored in. I bought a bag of dinosaur and 50 percent were broken. Bagged items cannot be opened before purchasing. Always don't Be surprised when a man approaches you outside begging for plastic bottles. When you have none. He asked you for money. read more

The store is located in a good section of Waterbury and it's in a nice, what appears to be safe, plaza. As soon as I walked through the door I was surprised at how dirty and, sort of, run down the place appeared. I guess they are working on very small margins and probably can't throw a lot of money on the in store ambiance and cleanliness. But it turned me off so I won't be taking my wife here. Now for the good news. I got exactly what I came to the store for and paid only $6.00 for it. It was pristine and like brand new. So I myself will be going back periodically for similar purchases but definitely not the up beat experience I was hoping for with my wife and I. At the end of the day it's a thrift store, a little seedier than others I've been into but if you're expecting more than it's probably not fair to the store. You will walk out with a bargain more than likely. If you're into used clothes your carriage will be full. That's not my thing so the 90% of the store that is shoes and clothing doesn't apply to me but it will apply to a lot of folks that have limited funds and are raising multiple children. The cashiers here are slower than at the dmv Is like watching a movie if miserable poles who hate their job ! The lines are always long ! At the registers there's at least 6 with cashiers in each but only two are calling people the rest are putting things on hangers or discussing who's going on break next. The store is so big and it has great things but I'm not impressed with the prices being that this is a thrift store. I do not recommend this store read more

Great CASH ONLY thrift shop with a vast selection in Waterbury! Bought a brand new French Press for $3 and a couple nice sweaters....I always find something good here. But always seems to have a crazy long line to check out with only a handful of cashiers. And carts are always spewed everywhere in the entrance. read more

Dock and unloading employees were downright disrespectful and cursed at me regarding donation of furniture. One employee told me to get the F... Out of here, and then told me he didn't give a F... What I did with the furniture. Another employee came over and told me to get that shi... out of here. When asked where the manager was they told me I don't know and the other from the doorway said he went home. Spoke to Asst. Manager who said she would address the issue.True misrepresentation of helping Veterans and calling it RED WHITE AND BLUE. The items in the store are great. It's a treasure hunt! However, the staff is awful. If you're not of Spanish descent, then they're rude to you. No matter how pleasant and nice you are, they try to ignore you. But if you are Spanish, they are chatty and helpful. None of the cashiers know enough English to understand simple questions or what you are interested in on the shelves behind them. They just point at things until you say yes. The woman at the jewelry counter (same woman each week), ignores black and white people. You can try to get her attention, but unless you are Spanish she does her best to ignore. Keep in mind, that everything they receive is FREE. All are donations. I think they feel that only Spanish people should benefit from the great prices. The bottom line is, go for the great stuff and great prices, but don't expect the staff to be nice or helpful unless you are of Spanish descent. Wear a coat of armor so that you can maneuver your way through the aisles and plan to be ignored or pushed around if they are in a hurry to put their wares out. read more

i love this thrift store, there's always good finds and meh prices. a little spendy sometimes but overall i find cool things. cash only. i would give this place five stars, however, when i was there yesterday i was harassed in the parking lot by a man who i suspect intended to sex traffic me. i felt extremely uncomfortable and will not go back to this location after the incident. so sad that this ruined my favorite thrift store in CT, women shouldn't have to be on edge or uncomfortable going about their daily lives. if you go, don't go alone and be careful. read more

I have red some of the reviews and am outraged of the racist remarks. I have always found the staff helpful, and pleasent despite their race. An the tri state (I am in Connecticut} is a tough crowd. And the cry babies from south and west can't tolerate us nor easterners. And wish you would take a hike. The quality cloathing at Red,White, and Blue is excellent. As well, as many other products. I've been going to this thrift store for years. It's a treasure hunt, but I usually find some great stuff. The lines are always very long and there is no one on the floor that will help you find anything. That being said, if you hunt through stuff you can make out pretty well. I have been going to Red, White and Blue in Waterbury for 5 months now. I have gotten some incredible things for my home. I do not sell things on secondary markets. I believe the prices are within everyone's range. I know these things were donated, but this is a business and like any other store, they too have overhead like rent, a payroll, insurance, lights, etc. I will say that the employees are generally rude or cannot communicate with you if you have a question. The presence of an armed security guard is a little weird, but this is a cash only business. I will continue to trade here, but hopefully the help will become a little bit nicer to the shoppers. read more

The employees are very rude here , I can tell by the facial expressions at least .. no one speaks 100 percent English which is very strange . Their hiring practices are sketchy at best .
