I was looking for a place to buy a classic Argentinian penguin-shaped pitcher, el pingüinito, and happened to find this place while walking through Palermo. It's a lighting / home goods / home decor store that carries pingüinitos in all different colors, sizes, and finishes, with some especially artistic ones in custom patterns and geometric designs, including some striking shiny metallics. They appear to be handpainted, and are all ceramic; the shopkeeper will wrap up your purchases securely and your airport bag inspector will be delighted to hear that you're bringing a fun lil buddy home with you from your trip to Buenos Aires! read more
